Competition Diesel Drags (Woodburn Or) Aug7th

Thanks Jim!!!!

David Lott it was!!! Tall thin guy with black hair.

He came up and started talking to me and I had to run do something and cut him short. I was not sure who he was but I wanted to BS since he knew the truck and all but I never got another chance to talk to him. I hope I get another chance some day.

Hoss,

David said that he'll catch up with you some other time, and that he knows how busy it can be at events like that. He knew Nowel well, and is glad that you did something with the truck. :)

The truck you have, which Nowel started on, is the reason David's SnowWhite is where it is today. Without Nowel, or his truck, David would never of been as intrested in this sport as he is today.

Who knew Antelope tasted like zebra... ?

Yeah, Jim, I know... I have some extra boots and stuff, but not the ones at the intercooler. I am fresh out of extra clamps and such, and am going to gather these most critical things. I do carry basic tools, enough to go as far as doing a head. Funny part was, I did take an extra head gasket along... :D ;)

Scott, the boot is working great! Hope mine holds up as well for you.

I was pleased to see some great "racer" sportsmanship...

Since we left before the end, who won the ATS bracket?

Sounds like you all had a great time, we are glad. Drop me a PM for any suggestions or 'constructive' ideas. We are making changes for next year, and want to include any thing we can do to make it better for the racers.

Sorry we only ran a 9. 40 best this time, trying out new gearing, tires, and some changes in the tune up. We missed it this time. Couple other guys are getting close to us, especially the Altered. Too bad he popped a turbo, we would have a heck of a race. We have to find some power quick!

We are pulling the motor down, and after 175 runs, thought it was due for a inspection. New tune up, and a couple new parts, who knows??? Might get in the 8's yet at the thin air.

It is neat to hear how everyone adapts to run here, a little tough to breath, let alone build boost on the line.

I was IMPRESSED with the hot trucks. Everyone is making progress and going damn fast.

I had fun too!

Fletcher, Hoss, Maddog, Rhonda, & Stakeman good to meet you all and watch your trucks in action. Your trucks were the most fun to watch. The SRT-10s were pathetic.

This was my first time at a track and I appreciate the help from Rhonda, Hoss & Stakeman for explaning the lights to me.

Thanks to ATS for the food and dyno runs on Sat.

At the dyno on Sat. Maddogs truck was easily on its way to 900-1000hp and these numbers were uncorrected for the trucks that day.

KBennett, not trying to take anything away from Clint or his Duramax, because it does haul butt and is a consistent performer (from what I saw), but I was told the run on the dyno with that truck did have a correction factored in which would explain why it did not go faster. But a 12. 7? sure is'nt slow.

I did not see the Duramax that dyno'd big run a 12. 7

It wasn't Clint's truck I was talking about either, it was the dark blue one, but I think Clint's truck did run a 12. 7. My point is that the guy with the Duramax that put up the big numbers could not show his stuff on race day but was talking at ATS like he could keep up with maddog and everybody else. I have tape of your truck running but I will have to look at it to see your numbers.

I did not make it into the pits to chat (I was having too much fun watching) so I did not get to meet anybody first hand unless they were at ATS. Who ran the altered? Are they a TDR member? I thought that it and the Cummins dragster ran well.

They both wowed the crowd when the numbers popped upOo.

Does anyone remember the Ford numbers for the dyno day on Saturday? I know the "Regency" Dmax got 790/1350 something with NOS and propane but what did the Fords get? I don't think any Ford was over 450 hp?

And what did the "Regency" Dmax run on Sunday? Time and speed? I saw him staging so I thought that would be a good time to use the bathroom!

We did not go to the dyno but as far as I know we had the quickest and fastest Power stroke there on #2 only with a 13. 56@101. 71 for our tow truck(White CC long bed,7200lb 2 wheel drive). Spooling was a bit different than David is used to:eek: and when he got the launch figured out the slicks did not want to cooperate, the truck has gone a best of 13. 3@103 in Houston spinning the slicks through 1st gear. Snow White was not able to make it as she just came home from major rear suspension surgery. A customer of ours brought down a Power Stroke race only truck that seems promising when the bugs get worked out. Hope to see more of you guys at the next event.

Is that with or without Nitrous?

I thought the fuel only numbers were in the 500's!

Jim

Jim, yes I think that was with nitrous. A couple of trucks were over 500 and most were in the 300-500 range but Maddogs was much stronger. I thought I heard he blew the elbow off at 80? lbs of boost and at the track he was getting 120 lbs. His bottom turbo is :--) .

Kurt

He responded to the other thread about the power, yep that bottom charger is a monster, makes the Big Brother look like a mid sized one. If you put that charger in a truck like mine it would require the frame to be notched.

Jim

Hoss, I would like to have come up there but duty calls, more so lately, seems like whenever I make a plan someone else has a different one for me.

ghls, I think Richard told me they had to do that when we were talking about it in Vegas.
