I had one. It is OK if you spread the load out evenly and don't load it too heavy. I sold it after using it a couple of times and put a hydraulic dump kit on my pickup instead. A couple of years later I took off the pu bed and put on an aluminum flatbed.
Thanks, I figured it was just "OK"... was wanting to haul 5 loads of gravel... would've beat shoveling... Looks like good ole shovel and wheelbarrow to the rescue.
It will work good for gravel. Just spread the load out and keep it around 2000 lbs or less. If you can get the load handler for around $100 it will be worth it for that one job. You can always sell it. I bought mine for $119 at Walmart and sold it about 2 years later to a really good friend for $50. He used it for dirt and mulch and was fairly satisfied with the way it worked.
