Philip, evidently some of the late 93 models were built with the A618 lockup trans. I was unaware of this until several long conversations with rebuild shops that had seen them.
Phillips5, check the wires where they come out of the transimission. If it is a lockup converter type you should have 4 wires. One will have power with the key on, one is the neutral safety switch, the other 1 or 2 will be the converter and OD controls. Both the lockup converter and OD operate by grounding the wires I am referencing. Splice into the wires at a convenient place and run them through a swith that has the other end hooked to a solid ground. This will tell you if the trans components are working correctly.
