Anyone heard of railcar shortage?

Anyone getting less than invoice prices in NY?

Does anyone make a locker for the front and rear on our trucks. I wouldn't mind having an ARB or the like that can be taken in and out of gear. Would love to have a tue 4x4!

I talked to ARB about this exact question. They said they believe that one of their products already fits it but they won't say which one. They are currently testing it and will add the new axle to their applications list once it passes.

I supposed one could figure it out from their list of products and buy one that would work but they probably won't guarantee anything till they have finished testing.

Yes there are...

Check out: http://www.aam.com/technology/tech_prod_dl_diff.html for the factory limited slips and lockers (even combos!). They have 7 different traction devices available for the 9. 25 (front axle) and the 10. 5 or 11. 5 (rear axle).

It looks like they have some good products. I've heard the limited slip in the 11. 5 is not very good because of the specifications DC gave to American Axle. There was a post on this discussion board where a member called and talked with American Axle. Apparenlty the outcome was DC specified certian things that American Axle didn't officially agree to but produced anyway. But don't quote me! Ask them yourselves.

Anyway I'll good luck.

Ouch is right! Did you ask them (AAM) why they list devices for the 9. 25 and 11. 5? I'll have to give them a call, or I could just wait for Eaton, ARB, or Detroit to come up with something.

$3000 is a bit high!

Are the specs for the 11. 5s in the GM and Dodge HD trucks the same? I'll bet they are. The GM locker is a nice unit. "G80".

Does anyone know which of the seven "Trac-rite Differentials" is used in our trucks for the 11. 5 rear axle??

Thanks

When I contacted AAM, I was told they only sell in quantity to OEMs. They don’t sell any after market. I also got the impression some of the limited slip and locking differentials referenced on their website don’t really exist. AAM has done some preliminary engineering and will make the product if an OEM will sign a contract.

Randy’s Ring and Pinion says the Eaton Elocker part number EAT19622 fits the front but there is nothing available for the rear yet.

I'm waiting for the ARB that'll fit my 11. 5. I can wait for quality. Thanks for the info Guava.
