Afternoon all,
Just signed up, I do not know how much i can contribute. Seems like a lot of knowledgeable people here.
I owned a 2wd auto club cab years ago, I still REGRET selling today. But any ways I figure it time for another one. Been looking for one for about a year no luck. I seem to find them across the country but I was burned before buying sight unseen. So if any one has a clean one for sale or knows any one I'm a serious buyer. I live in Connecticut and constantly working, so its hard finding time to inspect any ones that are for sale.
Thanks Bill

Hi Bill!
Can you be more specific about what you’re looking for?
It’s gotten to the point where these trucks are beginning to be restored. Some members should be able to assist.

Hi Wayne,
Well, a stick 4x4 club cab would be heavenly. I try and not criticize others work. I looked at a few restored ones and was disappointed at what I saw. Hacked wire looms and bondo rust repair. I figured I come here and converse with gearheads that are passionate about these mechanical marvels. It still kills me that I sold mine, I had to sell because of a family illness and it took all of my effort to help out.

Whelp, that’s the holy grail right there!
There are a few ways to get what you want, and they’ll all involve big expense. If you really want a stick, that’s not a tough conversion if you find an automatic. Don’t be afraid to do a conversion from a gasser.
Keep your hopes up and options open!

Yeah I know.
My plan was to convert my old one to 4WD/Getrag even though I had to cut the trans tunnel. I figure $15000 to $20000 will get me a clean one.
