How many pay Prop. Tax on their Truck?

Well, hello guys. I have not fallen from the face of the Earth yet. I am about 3/4 way done with the house we are building. Needless to say it is taking 110% of my free time. Should be complete around October. I still have 8 acres to groom after we get in.

As for Big Red, no more major mods. Put it in the truck pull last month, but got rained out. Too bad because Schied Diesel was there with their big dually beast. I would have loved to show them the end of the track. Maybe next time.

I did myself a favor in June while cutting brush off the road and introduced my knee cap to the Stihl 066. 30 stitches later and one heck of a scar to boot. Sure builds charector real quick.

My 72 Cuda is about due out of the paint shop. I found a real nice 71 383 Cuda for the Mrs. Its a tripple black Cuda just like the 72 is. I looked it all up and only 1100 383 Cuda's were produced for 71. Wonder how many were black? This car still has the original radio, and it still works! It will take me about 4/5 years to get it real nice like I have the 72. Just what I need another project. Couldnt refuse it however. $500 and one of my AR-15' with 60 rounds of amo to boot. Not too bad considering the car runs and drives and has sit inside a garage since 1980, so there isnt an ounce of rust anyplace.

Still doing as much for CAT as I can. We are starting to put Jacobs Engine Brakes on some of our big off highway equipment like that 797, 793, 789, D11, 992 etc.

I will check back in with you crazies in a few more weeks. Glad to see so many new names. And I thought there was some diesel knowledge on here before... I bet the knowledge is over flowing now!

Good thing Doc wasn't there. He *might* have left you with a leg to stand on. :D

Ouch!

That hurts just thinking about it. Knee caps and chainsaws don't mix well, unless yoo have a pair of Kevlar Chaps on. At least then you have a fighting chance of not getting wounded. Next time you need to use the saw, go to Home Depot or Lowes first. Some of them carry lesser grades of kevlar chainsaw chaps. Well worth the effort, especially if you slip or misstep while handling a running saw. You could also do a search for Logging Supplies or Lumberjack Supplies to find many onlin stores carrying same.

For a cost of $61-$65 depending on size, it is insurance one can't afford to be without!

I bet you will never look at "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" the same again. That is rough, i missed taking my thumb off with a circular saw a few weeks back, pretty scary.

Chad, glad too see your back, we were just talking about you and the BG pump last night, how's it holding up?

It was rough. I am a little gun shy now when I cut. Every time I hit a branch and it jerks, I remember my leg doing that. I was on uneven ground and the ground gave way on me. Oh well, lesson learned... next time I'll just hook the truck to the tree and jerk it out :D

The BG is still 100%. Always stays at 10 psi no matter what. Love it.

The jake brake is "experimental" right now. They are going to try them out at the proving grounds. Should be interesting to see how it all holds togather.

Hey good to hear from you Chad. Glad to see youre OK. There was even a "What ever happened to" post about you a month or so back. :D

Keep us posted on the new house, and good luck. :D
