Well, hello guys. I have not fallen from the face of the Earth yet. I am about 3/4 way done with the house we are building. Needless to say it is taking 110% of my free time. Should be complete around October. I still have 8 acres to groom after we get in.
As for Big Red, no more major mods. Put it in the truck pull last month, but got rained out. Too bad because Schied Diesel was there with their big dually beast. I would have loved to show them the end of the track. Maybe next time.
I did myself a favor in June while cutting brush off the road and introduced my knee cap to the Stihl 066. 30 stitches later and one heck of a scar to boot. Sure builds charector real quick.
My 72 Cuda is about due out of the paint shop. I found a real nice 71 383 Cuda for the Mrs. Its a tripple black Cuda just like the 72 is. I looked it all up and only 1100 383 Cuda's were produced for 71. Wonder how many were black? This car still has the original radio, and it still works! It will take me about 4/5 years to get it real nice like I have the 72. Just what I need another project. Couldnt refuse it however. $500 and one of my AR-15' with 60 rounds of amo to boot. Not too bad considering the car runs and drives and has sit inside a garage since 1980, so there isnt an ounce of rust anyplace.
Still doing as much for CAT as I can. We are starting to put Jacobs Engine Brakes on some of our big off highway equipment like that 797, 793, 789, D11, 992 etc.
I will check back in with you crazies in a few more weeks. Glad to see so many new names. And I thought there was some diesel knowledge on here before... I bet the knowledge is over flowing now!
