I am experiencing a very noticeable increase in cranking time on my 04 HO(48re). I did a search and found a thread started by CSniesak back in Feb. Anyone have any new thoughts?
My truck is bone stock save for the negative muffler and drop-in aFe.
Here are my symptoms:
-long cranking times(even the wife notices) at any temp(ambient or motor)
-sometimes, takes 3-4 tries to get the truck started
-flipped 85000 miles today
-batteries show 12. 9 volts while not running and 14. 3volts while runnning
-fuel filter only has 5000 miles on it, air filter recently cleaned
-no check engine light
The last symptom brings me to my next question. Can there be codes without a check engine light(sorry for my ignorance)?
I travel extensively with my work and am beginning to worry about being stranded.
Sorry for the wordiness of this. Just wanted to be as clear as I could.
Thanks,
Ian
