Looking for a cummins engine

727 throttle valve cable

I live in southwest Virginia and cant seem to find a shop that does performance diesel work with staff that really know their stuff. I mean we have shops that can do some work but i am looking for a 1 stop shop with people who have done this kind of work before and have some sort of experience.

TRE DIESEL PERFORMANCE

Tim Barber is the owner operator of TRE. Several years ago I came about Tim's shop by accident. At 134k my stock trans started to shift funny, (no power mods at that time) a fluid change revealed way too much material in the pan. No improvement, next weekend pulled pan and again way too much material. So I shopped for a DTT dealer, had thought of going to Mass Diesel as they were closer to me, but we were getting ready to go to the Keys for vacation, so I looked for a DTT shop that was along the way and came across Tim. After speaking to the folks @ DTT and Tim, I dropped my truck off on our way to the keys. Excellent customer service, great guy and knows what he's doing. Example: last spring fling he took highest HP in his 3rd gen (one in the picture of his site) his HP was well in excess of 1000. He drove it from VA Beach to Gettysburg, PA for the fling and back home afterwards.

Since the time that Tim did my trans, I've purchased all my perf mods from him, beginning with Mach injectors (1. 6) and the Edge Comp, I made 380 RWHP/720RWTQ. Then I got (from Tim) the recent items and made the numbers listed in my sig. I'm very pleased with Tim's shop, customer service and remembering who his customers are once they go thru his shop. By the way, my truck has 175k on it and the trans shifts just as good as the day it was done.

I know you are in S/W Va, but a trip East to visit Tim would be my best suggestion to you, going on my experiences. He does all kinds of work not just trans & performance mods - give him a call.

Happy hunting.

Joe Mc I just got back from having my Truck serviced by Tim at TRE and am very happy with the service and the price that I paid. I had the KDP taken care of which by the way was getting ready to show its little head. He also changed my fuel lines to that of Larry B sells and notice my starter was coming loose and fix that for me he also notice my fan hub was bad and replaced it with one he had at the shop. He installed 60lb valve springs also. I would give Tim two thumbs up he did a great Job! The wife and I made a mini vacation from Northern Virginia and stayed in a hotel and rental car for less the 120 bucks. We went to the VA Air and Space museum and had a lot of fun. He will be my mechanic of choice down the road.

Service or performance work in Virginia... .

There is ONLY one place to go and it has been said... ... . TRE Diesel Performance

If Tim Barber can not do what you want or need done then it can not be done... ... . Andy

SLangone,

Glad you tried Tim. He's a great guy and knows his stuff, great customer service too. If you need any Perf parts he'll treat you very well. Tim's out to make a "living" - not a "killing", he's long-sighted and knows if you take care of folks right they come back and tell others as well. Good people.

I'm not sure if Andy drives from York, PA to see Tim or have him work on his truck? But, I know Andy knows Tim "at least" from Tim's visits to the Gettysburg, PA area Spring Fling and Fall Brawl events that Andy is involved with. We've witnessed Tim's displays of massive quantities of HP & TQ his trucks lay down. Its been a while since I've been able to get out to G-Berg and I feel the urge coming on - but doubt I'll make it out.

Anyway glad things worked out well for ya. Pass along the good word - Tim's the BOMB !!!
