hey guys i'm runnin 370's but i want to get a little more ..... wellya know that 370's arent the best fuel to performance injectors for a 12 valve so i was wondering what should i look for? i want a little better economy and maybe a better spray pattern would help? it should be more efficient right

let me know waht you think Oo.

I would send you to a set like mine but they would blow that 40 up as long as the pump was tuned correctly!

Don has some big EDMs for the 12v and Dyno-Mite Diesel carries a nice Stage 4 injector as well.

wrong idea

i am not looking for a bigger injector im looking for a more effiecient one

im taking out the 40 and going back to the 35also. i really want more streetability. my setup now is too much for the clutch so i havent really slid the plate which means i could go smaller and slide the plate an it would be more streetable right

Often times the more efficient injector is the bigger one. Just go with a milder plate in the stock location. Also if your timing is at 22* backing that off some should help too.

Give Lenny @ Dynomite Diesel a call. I am running there stage 3's and love them. They are very clean and make close to the same power as the 370's.

If your wanting to step down try swapping your 370's for a set of 215's with someone that wants to step, then back your timing down to 17... ..... a 35/12 or 14 and 215 is a great setup!

Jim

wanna swap

does anyone out there have a smaller set of injectors they want to swap for?

pm me or email me and let me know maybe a 235 or so

You might keep an eye out for a set of Bosch 300 injectors. They can be pretty cheap and don't haze at idle like the 370s. I ran a set for awhile and thought they were decent. Definitely more power than the 215s but not as much as 370s. When I put stock injectors back in troubleshooting a problem my mileage dropped almost 1mpg. I ran them with 15. 25* timing but they probably could have used a little more, closer to 16*.

wow listen to this

my wife said to quit messin around. if i want to run more power i should get a better clutch and go all the way so im looking at building some twins

now i have one hang up the exhaust connection between the upper and lower turbo. i know you guys have yours done so can i get a pic of how you built yours or maybe what you used. other than that the plumbing seems simple. :-laf

Hey Vaughn. I've been interested in the 300 injectors for a while. You liked them ok, huh? How were EGTs? Will I need more air to run them?

Thanks,

-john

John, temps were not a problem with the stock turbo, but that was with a stock plate slightly forward of stock. You should be good.

What I liked about them is they seemed to really come alive at mid-upper RPM range. They were clean once boost came up, not very smoky off boost. After I tried these I ran some BD Power injectors. These were quite a bit stronger at the low-mid range, but plain lousy at higher power levels. They smoked far worse than the 300s and had higher EGTs with less power once you were past 3/4 throttle. Between the two I prefered the 300s over BD's 12v injectors.
