Meguiar's. They have a new clear coat wax out that you wax the whole car before you buff it off. I used it on my 01. Goes on easy, comes off easy with none of the little scratch lines. I like it. It's been six months and it has held up really well. I like all of the Meguiar's products.

Meguiars - and then I use their spray mist detailer about every 3rd wash job.

Dk. Garnet Red - shines like a new penny.

No water spots.

I also use Meguiars professional line of products (the tan bottles). The only change I've made now is that this last time I used a clay bar (clay magic from Geno's) for the cleaning step. It worked WAY better than Meguiars cleaner and was a lot faster as well, it took all the contaminents out of the paint - it was as smooth as glass when I was done.

Strongly recommend Protect All. It comes in a liquid form and a cream form. You'll never wash your truck in the traditional way again. It can be used for the entire vehicle, including glass! You can get it at RV supply stores, the factory, or Walmart. I recommend Walmart. It is half the price you will pay at an RV store.
Right behind Protect All I recommend Liquid Lustre. I don't know where you can buy it (stores)but I got mine at the Fair. Two bottles for $20. 00. Easy on, easy off. Great stuff. You can call the following number for the nearest supplier: 1 800 458 7873. You will be impressed with the deep shine it produces. By the way, it also removes water spots!

Try these guys. A little expensive, but the products are excellent. They have a three step kit (Clay Bar, Polish, & Wax) that works great.

Meguiars is the best. They have been making waxes and car care products for a long time and they know what they are doing. I use their car wash mix and I use their wax as needed. Which reminds me, it's getting real close to wax time for my Ram.

I just did mine with Mothers, Clay Bar and Carnuba Wax. I was amazed how fast the clay bar process took.

Bob, Try Buffalo Milke. It is a liquid spray cleaner/wax. You can order it on-line at www.buffalomilke.com. I was very skeptical, but I ordered it anyway. This stuff is phenominal. It is by far the easiest product I've ever used to wax any vehicle. It comes with a money back guarantee, and you can even purchase a trial size for only $4. 95. You can't beat that. The shine is brilliant for the effort required. You'll be amazed. I would still detail your truck the traditional way a couple times a year, but when you see how easy and well this product works, you'll be waxing your truck all the time. -Glen

Meguiar's all the way. I use their gold class stuff on my 98 to fight the hot AZ sun and it works great. Get the clear coat prep and the wax. Woof.

Why?

IT WORKS FOR ME AND LASTS!

I'm a fanatical, anal retentive detail freak and this stuff makes results that last!

Just remember to always try finish products on an inconspicuos location first and READ AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.

Good Luck

Meguiars is great. I have a ton of it in the basement. Griot's is almost as good, but doesn't last. KLASSE from Germany is the best!

I've had very good results with Griot's Garage products. #ad
I have tried most everything they sell... including their trick polishing system. I also use Zymol/BHMA (Beverely Hills Motoring Accessories) Platinum wax ($$$$). This is by far the best (and most expensive) wax I have ever used... and I have used most of the very best waxes on the market.

Guy who did the repaint job on my truck said todays clear coats do not benefit, require or are enhanced by any cleaner or wax. Just wash and wear!

Tippy, I think he wants more of your business.
I've used "Zymol" and like it. Was pretty expensive though. I've also used "Eagle 1 non abrasive carnuba paste wax", and "liquid crystal cream". I cant find the liquid crystal anymore.
My truck is black, so I stay away from the "cleaner wax" formulas. They show very fine scratches when used. You guys with other colors can probibally get away with the cleaner waxes, but black dont like it.

Patriot, I wasn't referring to the "cheaper" Zymol (blue) polishes that can be purchased in Auto parts stores for $15-$20. The Zymol wax I was referring to is $$$$

The cheap Zymol John just mentioned is just that--cheap. Tried it, don't like it. Seemed to be too soft and left a blotchy appearance on my Patriot Blue truck for a couple days. It was also a dust magnet.

Think I'll try Meguiars next #ad
Need to get at least one more good coat on before winter sets in.

My truck is black, so it's a dust magnet anyway!!!!! #ad

Furthermore it's usually parked out in the sun, so the wax only lasts a few days at best.
Does the "premium" Zymol last that much longer?
