Looking for a good Cleaner/Wax/Polish

Patriot, almost any high quality wax or polish will last longer than "a few days". The Zymol/BHMA Platinum wax lasts quite a long time and adds depth to a black vehicle... and I have a BLACK Sport that is always parked outside (except when it's nosed into the garage for enhancements #ad
).

When I wax my Ram I can't seem to keep from getting some wax on the black molding. A few days later it turns white and is almost impossible to get off. Any one come up with trick product that will clean up the molding?

Looks like everyone has a preference. I used to detail cars on the side for extra gas money when I was in school... Hence I've used just about EVERY product found on the shelf of a auto store. Although some of you have mentioned products I have not used. .

I've also used the multi step "system" waxes. (Meguiar's, etc) and find them to be overly time consuming... with very little benefit or added shine.

So... I use a two step process.

1st. Meguiar's body scrub.
This stuff "cleans" better than anything I've used. Using one of those "do it all" waxes or polishes takes too long and works hard. Especially when removing tar, bugs, etc. .
BUT, its only a cleaner.

2nd. Zymol.
Now that the truck is completely free of dirt and grime. . The application of Zymol is nothing more than a practice of "wax on, wax off". All scrubbing and removal of dirt was done in step 1.

This works for me. . but everyone's got a preference. .

This topic has been discussed and argued for ages on the Viper Club web site. The consensus among us Viper owners is Zaino's. www.zainobros.com Until you read about and try this product, you have no idea of the definition of "wet look". We all have a garage full of the latest and most expensive "hot stuff", but this product far exceeds all others in both ease of application, protection, and cost. I don't own stock in this company, but my blue Viper and my Cummins get nothing but Zaino. Call Sal, you won't be disappointed!

There was ratings in the May 2000 issue of Consumer Reports, they tested 26 waxes and here is a abbreviated list of what they discovered:
For a moderately weathered finish, 3M One Step Cleaner Wax 39006 liquid is the clear choice for its cleaning ability.
For a shiny finish, first consider
Zymol Cleaner Wax liquid and Nu Finish Car Polish paste. Zymol's durability though was Middle rated and Nu Finish did not do as well on Dark Paint.
For long lasting finishes,
then Prestone Bullet Wax and Armor All Car Wax. Armor All did scratch or haze more.
In order of overall, here is the top 5
Zymol, Prestone, Nu Finish, Armor All, 3M.
