I have been running alternative fuels for about 400,000 miles right now on my 96 12V,,,everything from home made biodiesle to mixxed vegetable oil,,even atf blend at one time,,,LOL...

I'm still on the stock injectors,,,and havent had any issues,,,but i figured new injectors might the old girl some good,,

Does anybody have a good reliable injector to recommend thats comparable to stock or close,,something in the 50HP range at most,,,i have to pass an opacity test evey 2 years and it's a royal pain to have to dial down the fuel to where the truck barelly moves to be able to pass,,,

Any recommendation would be appreciated,

Check out SDX. I think I would go with their 90 hp units if I was ready for another change. On another note, I repaired a '96 recently that had been on WVO for a long time and would hardly get out of it's own way. If you still have the prescreen in place, be sure to check or replace it. His was so restricted I kept it for show-n-tell. New screen and a couple adjustments and he was ready to go.

yup. . i do clean my prefilter once in a while,,,but my biodiesel is of pretty good quality,,and mostly fueling from my own supply keeps my system clean,,,,which is a lot better than what comes out of the station pump,,i cut my filters as well,,and they are always clean,,,

I would like to have a restriction gauge so i dont change filters for nothing,,everytime i change it,,it makes no difference,,

Any idea??

I ordered some SDX injectors a couple weeks ago for my '98, should be here in a week. They are 5x12s, whatever HP that is. Will report on impressions once they're in.

Vaughn, I think their 5X12's are their 90 hp units. That is what I have been looking at myself if I decide to go a tad larger.

i like the marine 330s, less smoke/heat and harder hit then the ddpII's i had, went back to the 330s after learning that expensive lesson, 330s are about $340 on ebay and i had almost $600 in the ddp's, only got a hair more then half of what i had in them selling them little more then 10k miles on them

Looking for an injector 50-100 hp over stock, but no smoke when you do a snap test for smog. Any reccomendations? stock bosch 300 hp injectors?

Thanks, Mike

SDX cant complain at all i have 5x. 014 and smoke is very easy to manage

only thing that makes it smoke is a heavy rt foot and a**hole drivers

i got 17mph highway hand calculated going up to n. carolina 96 12v 3500 timing is at 21 stock turbo n cam with 4. 10 kept it at 65 to 70mph
