I have a stock 2004. 5 Dodge Ram 3500 that is in need of injector replacement. I am hoping to locate a few good used injectors that someone might have available. I also need a compression test adapter and a fuel tube remover tool. If you can help me with any of these, please reply here.

Thanks,

Larry

Knowing full well that new or even Bosch remans are expensive I would highly discourage you from buying used injectors. It really is difficult to know what you would be getting. I even bought some remans that were done by a local shop and they were horrible, had to replace all of them with Bosch remans.

Godspeed,
Trent

In this case do NOT even think about used injectors. Buy 1 or 2 new but stay away from used or remans.

In the long run $325 for a new injector beats the cost of fixing a melted piston.

We buy as many as possible use or removed CR Injectors... I can't remember one worth reusing. . Saved Your Money and BUY Genuine Bosch (New).

Blacksheepdiesel

I guess remans are out of the equation .

cerberusiam

Buying 6 new injectors will be the only option from here on out .

TCDiesel

Are all the new Bosh injectors Stainless Steel ?

Are the nozzles matched as a set with the injectors?

Dynamite Diesels web page claims 04. 5 - 07 injectors unavailable till Bosh releases them .

I still need to rent or purchase , the Compression test adapter 9007 , and

the Injector Tube Remover tool 9002 .

Thanks

Larry

Yep. . We are one one last companies to Have Bosch Genuine Left (until Bosch!!!!) Bosch does NOT have any SS material in CR Injectors. . Why do you want the Compression Tool?. . We have it You are welcome to use it. . Just need a small deposit. The tubes can be removed with one of the lines (They pop right out). We pre-pay for all our Injectors and pass the saving on to the customer ... they are already price out of reach of some owners We try to help when possible.

Why would't you disconect all the lines at the injectors . the supply to the Rail , unbolt and remove the rail as one unit . so I will need the Injector remover tool . Why the compression test adapter 9007. I want to do a leak down test .

Larry

The rail can be left . . the lines must be removed. . and its much easier work with lines removed. . its allot of work to do a leak down test correctly,is their a reason for it?You will also need barring tool for that procedure.

Blacksheepdiesel, If origin was Bosch ,You received Recondition Injectors,Recon standards are much higher they remans,Recon standards are equal to NEW. More parts are harvested in remans standards. . Bosch Recon standards are so high Recon Injectors are install in NEW Factory Motors.

Why would recon injectors be placed in new factory motors? If so, then what is the difference among recon, reman and new injectors? Just doesn't sound right to me.

Larry

Your. . right larry... Have you seen a 2x4 lately... its the industry standard. . 90-95% of all Bosch Recon Injectors are new... Many component's are install Recondition to New Factory. What would you do if you manufactured 5000 new brackets and had 5000 use brackets that only had surface rust? You would remove the rust and resurface and they would be equal to new, just one example.

In my search for Injectors I talked to many shops/people. Many people will claim they are selling "new" injectors. 99. 9% of the the units are Bosch Remans. I opted for Bosch direct reman and would have no problem using more.

"New" Injectors, as in UN-used never installed are much more $$ and just about impossible to fine. Bosch Reman's are the market "new".

Why the compression tool . Well there is this oily haze on the tail gate .

A leak down test will answer a lot of questions .

A small deposit on any tool is fine with me . Any other tests you may recommend is welcome.

Did you get the constant pressure valve I sent you ?
