Hi:

I'm getting ready to buy, and was wondering if there were any good dealers in the West?

Looking for a 3500 SRW Quadcab Long bed 4x4 w/ auto, at least '04. 5 or '05 if available. Laramie or SLT depending on options.

What is the usual price; dealer invoice, or is anybody getting below?

Also, are there any incentives? I saw on Dodge's website a $2500 cash incentive or 0% finance 36 months, but looks like only for '04.

Also, any suggestions on what to watch out for?

Thanks for the help!

check out tom chaney at this address: http://www.newdodgeorderform.com/

I just got my truck from him for 3% under invoice minus the $2500. cost me $175 to fly to st louis and tom picked me up at the airport. by the time i got home my truck had enough miles on it to start trailering.

took me about 8 weeks from the time i ordered the truck until i picked it up.

I bought mine from Tom Saitta's Dodgeland USA in Las Vegas, NV.

Only comment is that it was used, 2 months out of warranty. I live in Mesa, AZ and on the drive home noted a few things wrong.

No boost (happened 60 miles out), brakes pulling to the left, leak from transfer case, engine running hot, transmission not shifting right. I drove back the following weekend to return some items that belonged to the van I had traded in. Mentioned the problems I had with the truck. They paid for a plane ticket to/from Phoenix and fixed it no charge.

I don't usually buy stuff out of town, but in this case it worked.

A Review on the company.

EDIT: The price you pay depends on your back bone and trading skills. I would easily have paid another $2,000 after the original deal was made, then handed over to one of those "paper writers" that closes the deal. You know the type, says the floor salesman wasn't aware of this/that charge. That "document fee" is for the birds too. I made them write off all of the so called fees. Don't mention trade until the deal is completely finished and it's time to write the check. Never disclose your intent while window shopping, where you bank, who you work for, cash or credit sale, nada nada, senor.

How far west?

Carson City dodge (NV) will sell at invoice plus rebates. Internet special pricing. You might give Butch at Dishman dodge (Spokane WA) a call. They may have one sitting on lot. Autos are everywhere, 6 speeds are scarce as hen's teeth.

Good luck,

Blair

As Jim has already written, Dave Smith, http://www.usaautosales.com/ is the largest Dodge dealer in the world. He runs a shuttle from the Spokane WA airport to bring in his customers from all over the country. The day I rode the shuttle to pick up my truck, there was one person who had flown from Alaska to pick up his truck from Dave Smith. He offers the best deals by far of any dealer around here.

I agree with John. I bought my new 04 from Integrity Dodge in Las Vegas, also owned by Tom Saiita. I got a great trade-in deal when I gave them my '02 Ram2500. They treat their customers well too. Ask for Karl or Freeman there. Godluck

Frank Drake

Las Vegas, NV.

I bought mine from a local dealership here in Portland for $1K under the invoice price and a $3K rebate. PM me for more details.

You don't exactl say where West is. But I have bought my last two trucks at Yellowstone Country Motors in Livingston, MT. They were straight shooters and all things considered offered a better deal than Dave Smith, Dishman, Lithia, Ron Sayer, Performance Dodge, or Billion.

Dishman in Spokane sold me my (ordered) truck $1100 under invoice and all rebates. Beat Dave Smith. Will pick you up at airport. Called the Big Bob Special. Ask for Butch. George

I agree with KLENGER. Broadway Dodge in Denver will make the deal right. I bought my 03 and 04. 5 from them. They also gave me good money on my trades.

I found the best deal at Dave Smith in Kellogg ID. See link in several previous posts. MSRP $41,200 out the door for $33,200 (before tax which I had to pay in CA) Very nice people to deal with. Free ride from Spokane airport.

From what I am seeing most dealers are starting the discounts at 7000. 00 and going from there. I got really lucky on my 03 at 9,000. 00 discount and the 04. 5 got 8,000. 00 discount. I sent a friend down to Christopher Dodge and he got 7500. 00-8,000. 00 off a new 04. 5 dually.

$1,000 under Dealer invoice and you get all the rebates at Dishman Dodge in Spokane! You have to talk with Butch and you have to tell him Big Bob sent you.

Here is his email address : -- email address removed --

His phone number is 800-457-6500.
