Loose steering box cure

This is in response to an earlier thread on loose steering boxes. The guys with the bracket to tighten up loose pitman arm shafts sent this to me this morning

www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse. asp?selected=138032

I have installed this on my '94 1 ton 50,000 miles ago and it works perfectly. I installed it in about 20 minutes, and the truck now steers like it should. I ordered one for my '01 2500. The shaft isn't loose in that truck-and it's going to stay that way! This is one of the few purchases I've made that actually does what the seller says it will. No more loose, wandering steering and easy to install, $195. 00 Canadian funds.

I like it  Why couldn't the factory engineers figure this one out

Give a report when you bolt one on your 2001 OK?

Gotta love the TDR and good ole American (err... I mean Canadian) ingenuity :D :D :D

That looks great. I sent them email to see what they want US dollars. I will post when I hear back from them. Thanks for the post. My steering is fine on my truck but if this could be added to insure that it stays that way for a good price it would be worth it.

Yelloweyes, thanks for taking the time for the pictures and information. That is a must for me. Will be ordering one shortly. Thanks again. OM

That looks like a neat idea. When Somebody gets the info could you post the address & Cost in U. S Dollars please.

Do we need to supply the bearing block?

can't imagine a mountain rig without one of these. . the way we use our boxes v/s a flatlander :D

I'd like to be in the loop on the info on this also !... Great Idea for sure.

better tell the guy to gear up for production... .

I called them and they said it's $125. 00 US Funds plus shipping. Flexible on how to send. Probably thru Mail.

The pictures show everything, all brackets, bolts bearing and holder are included. All you supply is a couple wrenches.

I couldn't wait, pulled the trigger :D

Seems like a nice fellow, ships with a money back guarantee and doesn't require payment up front

Email order is fine. If you don't like what you get for ANY reason, the check will be sent back to you. No happy-No pay! Just need to know address to send.

Do you feel this will help eliminate the track bar problem and its effect on the trucks steering? If it does I will order one today.

Thanks

I have to agree with you, but I'd like to know why the engineers couldn't figure out how to match the bearing and the pitman arm shafts so they don't have any slop to start with:rolleyes:

Pit Bull, I don't see this helping an any way to make the track bar last longer. The track bar just holds the axle in place, and does'nt have anything to do with the steering linkage.

Someone better tell this guy to start pumping these things out. I'm sure business will be picking up for him. :) I'll probably order one soon.

Willy, I think this guy is about to be overwhelmed :D I doubt he has a credit card machine. He responded with -

"It is $125. 00 US. Hold the check for a couple days though. I have to order some shafting. I will contact you when when the bracket is ready. Should be wednesday. I didn't expect this many responses. Thank You. Darin Tessier. "

I told him there were 10,000+ TDR members and probably 10% of them would be interested in his product  Hope I didn't scare him off ;)
