Took 4 weeks from the day I sent my check. I know your like everyone else, when you finally pull the trigger and decide to buy you want it now. Don't worry it is worth the wait.

I ordered mine April 14, and just received it today, the 29th. I think the big time lag is due to Customs, and their having to check everything more thoroughly since 9-11.

I am also one that wants something right away when I make up my mind to buy it. Mine took serveral weeks to arrive. If they put this item at Geno's or such the price would have to go up alot. For the price and what you get it is a bargain, and as others have said if you live in the NW or BC then Pier's is an option.

Now if someone would just tell me where there is a good frontend shop in North Seattle or South Snohomish County that could fix the left steering pull I have on my 2001. 5 I would be happy. I am in the process of moving to La Conner and will be on the road more with the truck, so the annoying left pull needs to be fixed. SNOKING

Check out the thread Mike's Steering brace in this section. He also makes a setup, and is located in PA for quick delivery. You can use credit card, money order, etc.

delivery time

Just recieved my bracket from Darien today, took exactly one month from the time I dropped the check in the mail. As soon as I get a 1 1/4 inch deep socket this thing will get installed, can't wait. Oo.

I've looked around in this tread and could'nt fine it . Need some help please

Thanks Mike

Woohoo

I knew it...

I figured as soon as I started complaining it would show up on my doorstep. Got home today to my prize package. Can't wait to put it on. I'll post my results when I'm done. Right now I've got about 4" of R-L play in the wheel, hopefully it makes it all go away. Thanks Darin.

Got mine

It's great. I got it Fri. installed it and immediately left for Idaho for a sand dune weekend. When I towed my trailer back from Baja a month ago and it towed terrible,it was all over the road. track bar was gone to. A new track bar and dss and the truck and trailer are solid as a rock. The truck drives straighter than ever. I am 100% satisfied with this wonderful product.

Please understand that Mail takes a long time to get to our area due to the war and the sept 11 attacks. Thats what I am told by the post man. It took a long time for shipping to get here when I bought my dss. Please be patient this man is not going to let us down. This fix is by far the best bang for the buck I have added to my truck. You will forget the wait once you feel the improvement. I do not think there is anything unethical going on with Darin. I do think he would be happy to speak with you regarding your frustration. I am sure his email address is some where close by in this thread. I am in no way affiliated with Darin. I Will stand by what I beleive is a Honest hard working Man.

Wait on steering box fix

I had to wait a couple of months (wisconsin) I think the border bull---- is in full bloom. Sometimes they will pass an object through and other times you just gotta wait. Having grown up near the Canadian border in NE Minnesota, it seems normal to me. Have patience!! Darin will come through!! and what a value! Really nice workmanship, and fit (probably could have easily charged twice as much!!)

I have had my DSS since end of February and have finally found the time to install it. I did have my an anxiety attack just prior, but it went extremely well. 1. 5 hours by myself.

The trucks front end feels much improved, by no means was mine all that bad judging from some of the threads I have read on this board.

I also want to address concerns that some people have expressed regarding delivery times and the fear that comes from a long wait. As I said above, I ordered mine in late January and received it toward end of February. Darrin shipped it without receiving prior payment from me which went out end of March. I believe he is an honest and trusting individual who we are fortunate to have in our group.

I am very happy with my purchase and what it has done to the truck.
