Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Loosing Water

My friend has a 99 1 ton. It was getting a little warm. So he had the radiator flushed. Now it is getting low on water. Every couple of weeks he has to put quite a bit of water in to fill it up. "Where Is The Water Going?"
 
Take the rad. cap off and crank the truck. If you see bubbles constantly while the truck is running, the head gasket is shot. It being a '99 it is also possible he has the "53" engine block that is prone to crack on the passenger side below the freeze plugs.
