Quality control ??????
The lack of quality control the bad engineering and poor service has cost me over $ 20,000 dollars so far and it isn't fixed yet for a 99 24V 4x4 3500. This to me is the worst form of customer service that dog/ excriment can allow! The people on the line made the steering toe-in way out of specs and the re & re boys didn't pick this up on the ( preperation at dealer inspection) the first 2 visits didn't yield any results for nothing found at this time was their results and the resulting bill to me was $??????? The following visit resulted in me telling them what was wrong with the truck and how to fix it, but not of coarse the other damage that had been done as well. It goes on from there. The $5000. 00 plus wasted on that and fustrations.
The teckies at cryslurrr and cummins are usless as far as reconizing engine problems. Last month was the first time that the apps was reset (it took many times ) but still doesn't idle as it should. The engine now has some power but the miss firing of the engine means that you can't run it below about 1700 rpm. I am told that it is out of the power band of the engine. What a load of doggy So as far as product loyalty never again for cummins excrement and the incompetency of cryslurrr. The other month I went to a cryslurrr dollarship and told them that I needed a blower motor and that I tried a new heater selector switch. They elected to try to convince me that it was the heater coil
5 weeks later the fan quite altogether so phoned and asked how long their warranty was good for? I explained that if they send it to camp I could install it on a warm afternoon. He elected to send it to greyhound even though I explained the opposite.
So driving back home in a cold truck for 11 hours @ -7*C was not pleasurable. The next day I installed a new fan and VOILLA it has worked ever since. So do I think that they are competent at all NOT still MINUS the $$ 1100. 00. The shortened version. The next truck will have a nice CAT MOTOR
