Transmission upshift issue

I was driving towards delta junction and came upon a car parked on the side of the road moved over and let off the pedal passed the car and hit the fuel pedal and nothing engine revs no trans. Pulled over no forward or reverse. Fluid looks good ,checked fuses, got towed home any ideals. Truck is a 2005 dodge dually,5.9 HO 48re trans. I am thinking torque convertor or input shaft .any ideals would be appreciated.

No revs leaves out neutral on the trans or xfer case.

Was the motor increasing load?

If not I would look at TPS.

So I took my camper off pushed truck into garage. Drained torque convertor oil looked good, drained trans oil it too looked good, no metal on magnetic drain plug. Flywheel and torque convertor bolts o.k. And turned fly wheel and engine turns also. Removed rear drive line put trans in gear and can turn main shaft and front drum from rear of transfer case. The engine will rev with throttle pedal, in gear just over 2000 rpm, in neutral a lot higher rpm. I sure what's the next step. The trans was rebuilt in 2012 by Bill atDTT. And has 15000 miles since.

One more question guys is there any thing electrical that would prevent the transmission from going into gear either forward or reverse ?

Nope, it will always engage something even if all the electronics are disconnected. With trans in gear and 0 wheel speed rpms are limited to 2100, if it revs easy to 2100 and park holds it is likely the input shaft.

Unfortunately DTT isn't building anymore if they are even in business.

Thank you guys for the replies to my trans problem, have been out of town for a couple days so late responding back to ya. Cerberusiam great ideal I am getting ready too pull trans out and will post an up date when it's repaired. Again thanks for every ones help.

Pulled trans, found torque converter splines striped out. Ordering new converter and billet input shaft. And a shoutout to Fred Swanson of Desert Diesel Parts for helping trouble shoot my trans.

Hello Fairbanks
Although a lot of issues have been getting in our way, we are planning on returning to beautiful Alaska this year. I would be very happy to meet up with another TDR member while in Anchorage. If your interested we can swap more info.
