I'm hoping for some ideas to get my transmission back with OD.
I was on the way to Mopar Fest in Canada today javascript:smilie('

and I got all the way to Detroit MI when there was an accident that had shut the highway down. We detoured though town for about 5 miles to get around it and when we got back on the freeway I had no getup and go. It took forever to get up to the normal shift point for the TC to lockup - and it didn't javascript:smilie(':--)')
Dropped Jaw I do have a manual override switch that I used to try to engage the TC. No luck.
We got back off the freeway and pulled into a parki0ng lot thinking that maybe the transmission was too warm from the highway to town to highway. We sat for about 15 minutes with the truck idling. javascript:smilie(':{')
Cryny :{ No such luck. All I have is 1st, 2nd & 3rd gears. When I reached home I had to unload the car trailer before I could get the trailer up the dirt drive. I thought I got the trailer stuck because of the rain we had Friday but the spinning noise wasn't the tires digging in mud. The wheels weren't even spinning.
I have the stock TC, which has been shuddering really bad on stops. The truck has just 80K. Fluids are changed regularly on the 5's (5K oil, 25K trans). I use Hyperlube in all the fluids (transmission, oil, gears). I pull an enclosed car trailer 6 or so times a year (5-10K) and use the truck for regular commuting (550 miles per week). BTW the mileage has gone to pot in the last year down to 19 on commutes. My stock 95 stick does that every day.
I'm thinking the TC or maybe the temp. sensor if I'm lucky. I'm intending to test the sensor it in the morning. This weekend has been entirely too much fun. javascript:smilie('

roll eyes (sarcastic)
I guess I should have taken the hint when the trailer had a flat before I even left.
