IT'S FIXED!!!! ... ... ... ..... It wasn't getting full throttle and here's why. The DODGE dealer, bless their hearts, took the damn throttle ball mount and moved it to the other side of the throttle lever. When you do this, it hits the return spring mount and limits the throttle to 2/3, although to look at the throttle lever, you'd NEVER see it. Someone from the original thread suggested to look at the back of the injector pump to MAKE SURE it was getting full throttle, and sure as ****, that was it! The dealer replaced my throttle cable per the Dodge recall ON SEPTEMBER 11th believe it or not, maybe that's the reason he "f"ed it up. Thanks to everyone who had input into my problem, I sure learned a lot about the fuel system on the 12 valve! Now that it's fixed, I'm adding a Piers 3000 RPM kit into the injector pump so it will ROCK!!!!

Thanks again everyone.

Great feedback on the stealer screwup for your throttle linkage!

Did you double check the fuel cam was still your TST that went in to the shop?

re-read original post

I hope the Cummins shop agreed to eat at least the labor portion of your pump rebuilt. They screwed up just as much as the Dodge idiots by not checking for full throttle movement before jumping to some ill found (not illflem) conclusions.

Now that's better

AAAHHHH... The ole' cummins will run like a top now, between adjusting the arm to plate and some 3k springs it is going to rock now, beware at those high RPM's it will EGT fast. Good to hear you got it figured out, kinda a pain but i know it doesn't matter now, I think we all (those that don't know) need to take a closer look at how ours is setup!

Last weekend I took the AFC housing off to verify the #6 TST was still there and it was. It was all the way forward where it should be. I pulled a vacuum on the AFC diaphram, it was good. I did readjust the govenor to hit right on the nose of the fuel plate, it was five full turns low. I also blocked off all vacuum to the wastgate so I can get 30 pounds of turbo boost, cool. Now that the fuel is back, the truck REALLY feels strong! I haven't had any power since 9-11, so it's like having a whole new truck again. I suppose I should be ****** at Dodge ( I AM ) and the Cummins dealer, ****** enough to want restitution, but I'm so happy to have it fixed, I'm through screwing with it. I WON'T be using that Dodge dealer ever again, that's for sure. Mike Kerry at Cummins RM is a great guy that did really care about getting my truck back up to snuff. He's driving a souped up 24 valve with 350+ HP and is about to put nitrous on it, cool guy-cool truck!

Damn I love my diesel!

Thanks again everyone.

Don't suppose you'd care to disclose the name of the dealer for those of us in Denver. It wasn't Elway by chance, was it? Those idiots had my buddies '01 in and out for a month before fixing it right.

Glad you got that fixed. I noticed that you said that the plate is all the way foward. When you put in 3K springs you may want to slid that plate to middle to start with. Also using the boost elbow is a good idea. The gov. springs really open up the top end and EGTs climb very fast above 2500 rpms. I had my #6 a little foward and the boost would climb to 34 psi fast and EGTs would top 1400 before it shifted out of 1st gear. Great power, just had to watch it. A new turbo housing would help, but I don't want to loose that low end response.
