I'm looking to buy a new 2500 and have almost everything figured out except for whether to go with 2WD or 4WD. We really only need 4WD a couple of times a year but. . when you need it you need it.
My problem is that the 4WD trucks appear about a foot higher than the same truck with 2WD. I don't understand the rational for this because the ground clearance (to bottom of transfer case, differential) appears the same.
Is there a compelling reason for the truck to be so high? Is it possible to lower it to look like the 2WD without screwing anything up?
