I am sure this is not asked alot. Is there any way to lower my 4x4. My SO has a diddicult time getting in and out do to medical cond. My 1500 4x4 was fine.
I am mildly interested in ordering a 2004 4WD 3500 SRW, but would like to know if there is a TSB or some other method to lower the back end of the truck to better hitch up to my 5er. The axles on the 5er are already flipped, so don't go there.
Contact an offroad supply store such as www.4wheelparts.com or go straight to a suspension manufacturer and ask them of the possiblity of finding a company that can make you custom springs that are not as tall.
Keep in mind though the problem with lowering it too much or maybe any at all is the clearance of the axles (front and rear) with the lower components of the truck. The idea of lowering the truck may not be possible with the clearance issues and keeping the angles of the front and rear driveshafts correct and possible clearance issues with the axles also.
My suggestion is to call them and see what their thoughts are on this.
