2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission lowering kits

Does anyone make a lowering kit for the 2nd gen. 4 wheel drives? It seems to me this would help alot to eliminate the death wobble by getting all the steering linkages more in line . Any feedback?

steering stabilizers help I have 2 one oem and a aftermarket Rancho. Original size tires help also big seem to mess with the front geometry. and the stabilizer brace is suppose to help also . the steering stabilizer cylinders took care of mine

major limit would be clearance of the front axle to frame.

Brad at FASS had his old Forest Green 98 lowered and on the ground. That year at Thunder In MUncie I asked him about where he found the kit and his answer was "No Kits are made,you have to do it yourself". To this day I have not ever seen a true lowering kit for our second gens and all the ones I have seen dropped were done by the owners. I know this,Brad's old 98 was a sweet looking ride,dropped and filled with big dubs made a nice look... ... Andy

Yes... it was 4x4... ... I personally never saw it though... but we are doing the same thing with the Race truck... and cutting the coils is what we did... . to a point to where the Panhard bar interferes with the fnt axle... so that is going to have to be adjusted.....



KORE helped us with springs for the 06 truck... . might check with them.....



BUT if you are getting a "Death Wobble"..... something is wore out in your fnt end... . find and fix the issue, and the wobble will go away... i think lower would help... but not fix... . kinda like the guys that stick extra steering stablizers on the fnt end. Only a band aid... .



A TBK kit fixed mine... . and i got the panhard bar out of the 06 to use! haha.....

You really know how to hurt a guy don't you,LOL. I should have never walked away and second guessed about buying it. That hesitation cost me a chance and it went somewhere else and I haven't seen it since. It was a really sweet truck..... Andy

how can I get ahold of Brad at FASS. I would like to know what all he did . I don't need to get it real low but lowering it some would help with the ride hight of my fifth wheel and I think it would handle better too.

BUT Kent @ KORE has helped us tons with the new truck (I say that because the fnt ends are not much differant)... . might call and ask him some quesitons on what he did for our set up... I know the springs were cut down somewhat from normal.
