The Drag Racing Snag

Is a big disappointment for me cause that was what I was really coming for. So I guess I will see you guys at MIR on Sat Oct25th Merv :{

Don't count the races out just yet, as I still have a few things up my sleeve... ... How many of you guys would race if I can get us a track all to ourselves? There is a possibilty of renting a track for our use. Cost would be $30 per truck with 10 trucks minumum. So everyone speak up so I can try to arrange something if there is enough demand.

I was thinking of throwing my slide-in on the back of the truck, and staying overnight at Kaufmans, possibly even coming up on Friday, but I don't know about that, yet.

We will need to check with Ernie and be sure camping is OK. He has moved his shop and this could be a problem... ... I will try phoning tomorrow and check. If camping there is a problem I suggest coming on into Hershey and trying out the above mentioned campground. I am hoping to get as many of you as possible to stay at the hotel or campground so we can all get together for some afterhours fun

Do we need reservations for camping? If so what is the number and address of where everyone camping? Also, I can bring something. Is there a list of what is needed?

Ok I checked with Kauffmans and there will be limited camping available as long as it is not too wet. Also I posted above a great campground with hookups and all if anyone is interested.

Spoke with the track today. The owner is checking to see he has someone available to run everything for us that Saturday. If so everything is a go! I will let everyone know ASAP, hopefully all will work out and we will have a track all to ourselves.

OK if I get the track cost is $300 for up to 10 vehicles. After that it is $30 a vehicle for the racers..... How much would everyone be willing to pay to have the track to ourselves? Would people go $50 or $60? This would be for 4 hours of racing and/or tuning. Everyone let me know so I can get in touch with the track and sweeten the pot.
