first timer

hey guys,

i am a new member of the TDR and i am planning on attending the fall brawl at Kauffman's on Oct 5 for the first time. Hopefully i'll be able to find my way up there. Thanks to Jetpilot for all the info. Maybe i'll dyno my rig to get a baseline for future mods like doug recommends. I am planning on joing the local chapter too!! I'll see you guys up there and look forward to meeting some of you and learning some things about diesels.

I want to try and get a group to come down on the fith,

hows the dyno work, how much to take a spin? Sounds

like a great time, look forward to puting some faces and

personalities to the names I've been reading.

I've talked to some people in New England who are thinking of attending. (including myself ;) )

Anything we should bring? Besides our butts & trucks ;)

Just thought we would give you a heads up.

Something I just thought of: how about a KDP session? I *really* ought to do mine, now that I'm approaching 115K miles on my '98 12V... .

Cd,

Last year it was $60 for 3 continuous spins. Ernie's crew will guide you onto the dyno and strap the truck down. Hook up a rpm sensor and a big fan for cooling and one of the tech runs the "spins" from the cab. Lot's of fun if you've never done it before. Ernie will have an exhaust removal system this year. He said that it took them forever to clean everything in the shop after Jetpilot and a few other were finished for the day. :D jstyer and DaveD were BOMBing John's truck in another bay while Jetpilot was doing his dyno run and it blew a shop cart across the garage.

Mactruck, Man, you NE guys like to travel. LOL Come on down. But, now that I think about it, I guess PA is just a hop and a skip compared to CO.

Anyone keeping track of who's bringing what for vittles? I know Chef Hammer (and Wiredawg)is pretty mean w/ a grill, but is one going to be enough?

BTW I, too, plan on "spinning" the rollers.

Glad to hear you guys may come down! The more folks that attend the better... ... Right now I am trying to work out some contests and/or giveaways for the people in attendance.

I would like to personally invite and diesel owner in the country to attend! I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Mactruck... .

Bring your butts and your trucks, just let me know ahead of time if the world famous, often imitated but never duplicated,Shineboy is a comin along,,I'll need my bombed Oakleys for the shine on his garage kept truck,LOL,,Its a bring something along cookout most have listed something they will bring just bring or do as you want,,I'll make sure there is a extra grill for Chef Wiredawg and I if needed and some extra gas so he can cook all day,,Look forward to seeing all that come,,I have been getting alot of responses from the other boards for people coming and it may be a "target rich" environment,LOL,,Email me or pm me if you have any questions and I'll make sure you have a number to reach me directly...

Fest3er bring up a very good point, with all the trucks in attendence why not get a KDP jig and have at it that day,,A ounce of protection is always good, shop will be open to us why not take advantage of it,,So who has got one we can get for the day to use????

CD,,Dyno cost is a set price for our group at $60 for 3 spins with torque numbers available,,This is a set price for us and can and will be honored at any time you want to use their facilities,,They are a great bunch and you will have no fears on how your truck will be handled, heck you can even ride shotgun to do the runs...

I am not sure on the exhaust system yet TMACC,,They have been working on the new office and addition so we'll all have to see,,Jetpilot is there today dynoing the new camshaft and will be able to answer that for us... .

One thing I forgot to mention is floppy discs for your runs,,I'll have some along for those who would want their spins on a disc instead or bring your own,,Well lets keep the ball a rollin this is going to be a huge show and a blast... ..... Andy

Is this a closed park like Maplegrove? Do we need to

purchase tickets or anything? Just trying to get a handle

on expenses so I can correctly inform everyone I'm

trying to convince to join us. Everyone so far can't

wait to dyno. We all especially can wait for Oct. weather

to save us from this heat.

Closed park????,,If your refering to Kauffmans I'll say no it is not a park but just a little shop nestled in a quiet little valley for us to play at and make some noise without any problems,,If your refering to the campground that Jetpilot found for the gang I'll say I'm not sure,,Cookout and show is at Kauffmans and there is no charge for coming to that, cost should only be what you bring along or spend at dyno, however, one never knows what or if anyone will bring things to find a new home for(i. e. -used or not wanted parts),,Hope this helps... ... Andy

Speaking of wrenching... I have a set of 12 valve injector pullers for anyone to borrow.

Also a set of 12 v 300hp injectors, and a TST#5 that can be tried out, or bought, either way. :)

Looks good for me to be off that weekend. Anyone goin down 322 and want to hook up on the way down? I can run down 15 too. Its about the same either way for me. Chef Wiredawg, you got a grub list made up yet? I'll see what I can dig up to bring:eek:
