Just swapped out the Jammer 5s for F1 Mach 4s and holy cow! Smoke is less down low and the top end is WAY faster. The only downside is hotter EGTs on a full tilt 110mph blast. Used to be 1100 now it is 1200. Boost was 39lbs now it is 42lbs! All with injectors alone with comp off. Thanks Don M you definitly make a superior product.

Did you get a new set?

Bought them used and sent them to Don to inspect and he said they were one of the first sets he ever did and replaced the tips for free:) Thanks again Don you rule!

i'm liking mine Oo. Oo. Oo. but reading from your sig your gonna need them to spin those 37's---DW

Nah the 4. 10s make it like 3. 54s and 285s. I can still obliterate 'em but they are Toyos and they're heavy and $$$ so I don't:-laf

Have many times considered going with a set of bigger injectors alone (w/ a P. S. boost module) to keep it simple and sweet.

But finally got mine running how I want now. Problem is there are 2 boxes hooked up, hardly simple & sweet. Makes me want to try a set too. . Nahhh can't touch her, but glad you're having good results with yours.

How do you get hold of Don in person. I have a friend who wants to send in a set of stock 3rd gen injectors that are bad and have them redone to save a few bucks but I am not sure how to get in touch with him his site only has his retailers listed for contacts.

You have to use a middle man (I used Cory at PDW who is awesome) to contact Don as he is very busy. Basically use one of his vendors to get his address and they will tell him what you need when to send etc.

So, how would an ETC truck with no electronics added (except a P. S. boost module for the map sensor) run with a simple set of Mach 4s and nothing else.

It does have the intake, exhaust, drivetrain, fuel system covered already, and the stock HX35/12 set to 37PSI.

I wonder how much timing advance you get with that size injector alone, and how would fuel mileage & egts towing heavy compare with my setup now? Would there be any decent response off the bottom with no box to give em a little "kick", or would they be smooooth off the bottom until you roll it on?? :D Smoke at idle?

Would be neat to remove electronics and keep it simple. No wire tapping, no fooling the ecm (except with boost). Just dont want to lose fuel mileage - Thats #1. Drivability is #2. And NO smoke!

You will have to monitor egts towing. These things are smooth for sure. With the power they'll give you I think you'd forget about the mileage or smoke trade offs:-laf

I have had mine for 20k miles now and i love them. I dont smoke that bad with the TST on only any level there isnt really smoke with the smarty it can get heavy if I make it. I didnt see any mpg change from the 100hp jammers I had prior just smoother cooler temps than the 100 jammers. well worth the money the only time I will see over 1100 deg is if Im trying to kill a hill when its 5000. elev and trying to go 80. my htt turbo is great with the mach 4s

So what happens if you have Mach 4's and remove/disable all your added electronics, including running stock ecm software? But keep the boost fooler of course.

Would they be a bit sluggish off the bottom until the ecm sensed boost, then started bringing them to life? How mellow would they be if you just wanted a mellow truck off the bottom, but still if you romp on it and build boost, would they respond fairly quickly, or do you NEED to have a box for response.

I've seriously been considering removing electronic add-ons and just running injectors, These seem to be about the right power range I would want but will still push the stock HX35 to its limits. 235HP ETC + Mach 4's (150HP) might net about 385HP sweet & simple setup.

Just curious how they would respond without an added fueling/timing box down low. What kind of Heavy pulling EGTs would there be, and mostly important today - MPG's.

Thanks.

I believe HOHN still has that set-up on his truck. As far as I know he runs M4's, HX35, Smarty on a HO engine. He also does not tow. I have never done it, but I don't think that set-up would be good for towing. Needs more air to control EGT's.

For myself, when I do tow I generally turn off the TST and leave the XZT+ on. The M4's are not sluggish at all and you get big torque right off idle. IMO it is a tremendous set-up, but you have to have the air to keep them cool when you are pulling some weight.

Just a heads up, I found the M4's + Smarty really smokey, but I am also running 285's and twins. I had to drive around the smoke continuesly. By just running the M4's (delete the Smarty) they run almost smoke free. Just a grey haze when I get on it.

How would these injectors work on a STOCK H. O. engine? I assume they add 150 hp. What else would i "HAVE TO " have..... besides gauges of course. The only thing i've done to mine is remove the converter/muffler.
