"Remove the stock pan, take a shower in ATF,"
If you follow the instructions, most of the ATF spill can be avoided. Starting from the back of the pan, after you get to the front, pick one rear corner and loosen it and the two around it about 1 turn. The fluid will start draining out of that corner. Keep working the screws out a turn at a timeand move two another two either side of the corner. I didn't spill a drop!! Clean the transmission and the new pan out with solvent. Tighten to 12-16lb/ft. There was another discussion of stripping the screws out. I used Mopar ATF+4 because I read on one of the oil sites that it is synthetic. $6. 80 a qt at the s..... ealer.
