Just info for 02 owners. I bought a front cover and half way through the swap i found the breather was in the cover. I cont. John @ hytec. It was sugested that the temp hole be utilized after putting in a baffel plate. I put in a bad a---- plate. Did not work I had iol out the breather hose. So I did the following- while tight I marked the front of the dip stick took it out and drilled down the center without disturbing the allen. I then cross drilled just below the threads from the front side ( front ref mark). when done you basically have a L shaped hole. The bits used are small same as the one that fits down allenn hole. I then attached the stock breather tube to the Knured dip stick and used a small hose clamp. I filled the diff with about 1 quart over stock capacity. I have run this combo now for about 1500 mi with no probs or oil loss. I contacted Hy tec and he is aware of the fix.
