This past weekend I went ahead and bought the Mag-Hytec covers for my '06 and installed them. I was wondering if anyone else who had installed the front cover is having clearance issues with the stock track bar?

Everything installed fine, had to kind of work the cover in there to get it past the tie rod and onto the axle. But it sure does ride close to the track bar and I hit a speed bump in a parking lot today and when the front end bounced down, I could feel it hit the track bar. :(

I know the only solution would be go back to the original cover or put a leveling kit on the truck but none of that is going to happen and I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem?

Thanks, Joe

Well, there ya go, sounds like I am gonna clearance it for now per Mag-Hytec's recommendations and save up for a leveling kit. Takin' it slooooowwww over the speed bumps. Love the covers though. :)

That makes perfect sense to me now. Everytime I go over a big speedbump, I hear a "thunk" noise. I took it in to the dealership, thinking it was a problem with the suspension. The tech checked it out and found nothing. I'm going to mention this to him, the next time I go in for service.

Had some luck clearancing the cover some. It doesn't seem to hit anymore but then again, I really haven't tried to make it hit. If I knew about the PML covers before this sale purchase of these Mags then I probably wouldn't have got the Mags. Price was just right for getting both the front and rear covers so I couldn't resist. :)
