Magnaflow mistake, help please

I thought I was buying a magnaflow DIRECT REPLACEMENT muffler for my 06 CTD but looks like its not.



I just want to replace the muffler since I allready have a 4" system stock. Don't want it too loud. Just want the power heah heah.



I guess Magnaflow just makes a non specific diesel muffler (30") ?? Will I have to modify my pipes because the stock muff has a high in low out config. ??? thanks!

So the problem is that the Magna. Muffler won't line up the two sections of pipe because the inlet line runs high, and the outlet is low?



IF this is the problem, it shouldn't be too hard to have an exhaust shop run a piece of pipe from the Magna. down to the outlet pipe. Or even if you have access to an expander, just expand a piece of 4" at the correct angle to get it to match up properly from the muffler down to the outlet pipe.



If I misunderstood the issue, please help me to understand.

Very simple cut the pipe right behind the cat get a short piece of 4" pipe expanded on one end... ..... you can now use the straight through muff. Done it many times.

We have never made a direct replacement muffler for any application. Its always been just universal only.
