ok, changed the oil today and filled her up to the full line. started it up and the usual black smoke came out, and then i pulled it out the garage, and tapped the throttle and then what seemed to be blue smoke, hard to tell at twilight, started puffin. smells like oil. this happened to me when i first put on my new turbine housing, the housing had a wastegate on it and i had to take off what seemed to be a return oil line from the bottom of the turbo to the bottom of the engine and replace it with a hose to get it all to fit. i dont know if that is a common thing to do or i did something wrong or what. but i noticed that after i changed the housing i smelled burning oil and i started to use oil. never did prior to the housing change. seemed that the oil was used to a certain point and that was it. now it is full again and burning once again. should i try another turbo? i have one, my stock one, i replaced with the one on there now, which is also a w1c just another than my stock, as i stated. or can i do something different with that down tube(hose) that i had to rig up. maybe it isnt letting the oil flow fast enough down and its backin up into the turbo? has this ever happened to anyone else, should i shoot it, and push it in a river? im fairly new to all of this diesel stuff, so please, be gentle.
