Anyone make their own? I am slowly putting together my 4-link air ride, doing the rear first. I am lifting it in the process. Lifting the rear without the front will look funny, as the front sits lower to begin with. So, I plan to cheaply lift the front enough so that when the rear is lifted, it won't look to nose-low.
What I want is my truck slightly nose low. Right now it is stock height with 285 tires. So, adding 3" to the rear (with bags), and 3" to the front (with home made spacers) should put it in the same stance it is now, only higher, the front to back upslope should stay the same.
ANYWAY, back to the topic, anyone made their own? Are the springs held on by gravity? I mean, the springs are not attached to the truck besides being pushed on by the truck weight, right?
I know, I could buy them, but I would just get rid of them in the next year (yes, I could resell them), but am able to make them to a custom height.
Thanks guys, Nick
