IDAHO TURBO DIESELS dyno day, sun, may 18th 2008

Diesels at NW Mopar Nationals!!

Chris I know the Columbia well. We didn't look at your house, nothing that big. We looked at one on McCord, one on Aspen, a few on Johnny Coal road... I wanted to live in the the trees, but alas we are in town. Oh well. I know the drive will be a pain in the A&& when the plant goes. We just finished a plant in Hardin. Where did you go to school? That is a job you don't hear much about in Montana. Do you know a kid named Mark Lundamo? I dated his sis for years when I was in Ketchikan. I can't remember what boat he is on, but he is on the bridge. Another guy, Ed Marksheffel is a purser, again I can't remember what boat, but is my brother by marriage. Anyway, it would be fun to get together and talk about Southeast. Any more talk about putting a terminal out of Coffman Cove on POW?

Keep your bildge dry.

Dave

If you guys have a second yo should look at what the guys in Northeast PA are doing in the northeast thread. we should get a montana chapter started.

I agree. By the way I have gotten a diesel race date set up at yellowstone Drag Strip. It will be held on June 3rd. This is a trial basis race to see what kind of turn out we can get. If the turn out is good they will start a diesel class. For those of you who donn't know where the track is, it is in Acton MT just outside of Billings. It is a fairly new drag strip ( 3yrs old ).

Thanks for your support, Mike

best decision u ever made

Yes, I know getting this truck was a great decision. I ordered a brand spanking new 1996 CTD from Dave Smith Motors and LOVED that truck. Back then we had our “Reasonable and Prudent” speed limit and it was a kick in the pants to pass others like they were standing still, and with plenty of pedal to boot! Having gone for a few years without a CTD, I decided the time was right to get another. I love the POWER!!!!!

I agree, we should try to get a Montana Chapter started. That would be great!

First post to site, just joined and got my e-mail password and such the other day. Great site. I have viewed it at least once a day for the last couple of years, but never got the subscription. This is my first CTD and first brand new truck followed by 92 Dakota (still own) and 98. 5 RAM gas guzzler. Won't likely own any other brand unless Dodge really screws up. Was looking to see if there were any Chapters in MT and found this post. So anyways location is Pray MT, between Livingston and Yellowstone Nat. Park

Howdy schRAM,

Welcome to TDR. I reckon you bought your truck(s) in Livingston? On the 02 and 04 Yellowstone Country gave me just as good a deal as Dave Smith was offering, the folks were great to work with, open to negotiating, and close to home in case problems. The trucks have been great, problems small and infrequent, and no complaints about YC.

Here we are just north of Somers, enjoying our two months of sunny weather!I'd throw my hat in the ring for a Montana TDR chapter.

Are you studying at Tech? What program are you in? I studied Welding Engineering there. Good school.

Yep I am going to tech for my education. I have to agree this school is amazing. Currently I am in the Metalurgic and materials engineering degree. Can't but sure I will keep it but so far its looking pretty nice.

I'm from Belgrade. 4th genner from the valley. Yeah, lots of yuppies moving in but I keep saying all we need are some good ol' fashioned winters and they'll move out. :-laf

Hell yeah!!!

Another from Belgrade MT here. I agree we need to get a chapter started in Montana. Really busy most of the time but would love to do what I can to help out.

Born in Miles City but now a resident of Belgrade.

I'm not from Montana, but I love the state and have spent a lot of time there. I had Montana mud flaps on my 95 dually and many people asked me with excitement if I was from Montana.

We have a home and business in Miles City, but are semi retired and spend time in Estes Park Co. and every other summer running around Alaska. This is our summer for Alaska.

I've got to have some mountains to my backside and think Havre is a real hellhole :-laf complete with N. Dakota winters. Except for the sharptail hunting :D

Almost all of Our weather comes through Montana first. ;)

when your wife gets tired of shoveling snow then she can move to ND. It doesn't snow much here anymore. :-laf

The only good use for grouse is to bait coyote traps it tastes too bad to eat like antelope and muleys. The best eatin birds are Goose and pheasent. :p

Are any of you going to be in Billings this weekend for the NHRDA events?

Hopefully I will meet some of my western neighbors. :)
