Do I need to go to Dealer for Map Sensor, or is it a Cummins part?

Will a 200l Sensor interchange with 98. 5?

Thanks,

TC

The MAP sensor is a Cummins sensor. . if you buy it at the dealer is will come in a bag and when you open the bag you find a cummins box. Besides cummins wants about $85 for the sensor and Dodge will charge you $150

The 98. 5 sensor is different from the 01. Dave Fritz's site has the number on it... www.dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/Facts/98ISBspecs.html

I had some problems getting to correct sensor for my 01, but you don't want to hear about that. Just have Cummins look in there dodge books for the 1998. 5's and they should be able to find it. Just make sure they are looking in the 98. 5 Book :D

 I bought a MAP sensor from Cummins West in Sacramento last summer for my 2001 ETH motor. I don't have the receipt with me, but I'm quite certain I paid in the $50 - 60 range.
