Chryslers at Carlisle 2004....

Friday aug 20

Oh I mean ... Gee I hope it's safe when it gets dark. I sure would not want any of us to fall victum to any sort of riff raff or any mechanical probelms as that could be unsafe WINK WINK.

Maybe my non-diesel owning butt will come down... MD500 and Hammer I believe are the only guys I've met so far...

kenny,,

larry willard and tom sweeny camped at the park last year and were very happy with the sites. they will probably do the same this year i assume. i think a few of toolman's gang are going to be camping too(not sure if they are staying in the park,,2 nice full hookup campgrounds with in 20 mins of park also).

don't wait too long to make the reservation at the fort if that's what you decide(only 20 or so sites).

maybe we will all just stay for the weekend:eek: :D

they have alot of tent sites for the ones who like to "rough" it.

we'll just change the name of the gathering to

MASON DIXON TDR CHAPTER SUMMER WEEKEND !!!

I was going to book a site at the park. The tent campers can use the drone from my generator to put them to sleep. There are plenty of sites open at the moment. Oo.

Actually on a serious note. The food is great and so is the location. It's in a quiet area with no one around to bother you. Oh and did I mention the food is great?

Seems to me like Loyd needed a wrecker to haul his rear up into the truck after eating so much :D :D :D ,oopppss,I think I really me WE ALL needed that wrecker and still all took more food home than we came with. :D :D :D .

I am going to try and show, but,it will depend on when I get in off the road that morning from my nightly trip. We will see how it progresses as the time gets closer.

Don. .

Are we going to use the charcoal pits like last year and whats the status of our charcoal leftovers?. Are we doing the chicken again as we did last year?. And last but not least,do I need to bring my chefs hat again,LOL?... ... ..... Andy

BTW...

For those coming its now time to begin posting what you are interested in bringing,so fire away so we can tally what we will need to add to it.

hammer,, all the supplies left over from the picnic were used up at kauffmans at the fall dyno day.

yea i say we use the pits and yes bring your chef hat.

i am planning on using club treasury funds to buy chichen and ribs from the same place as last year. i will also be getting the 1/3 pound burgers and 1/4 pound dogs(same as last year). i will donate deer dogs for the grille.

we need rolls,soda,beer,condiments etc etc.

as far as leftover food,,, i dont think it will be a problem this year.

toolmantimtaylor and his group are most likely going to attend our picnic.

i have also chatted with the president of the maryland chapter of DODGE TRUCK WORLD about possibly joining us( not all diesel heads but some nice people with some great trucks.

pud'n:eek: doesn't matter !! rain or shine,,we have a pavillion:cool:

larry,,i believe it will last into the evening this year so make plans to come.

** now would be a good time to post how many are in your party and what you plan to bring **

As a new member, I am planning on coming for the day. It will be about a 2 hour drive for me.

What time do festivities start? And, I can bring any type of food, but my speciality is desserts - brownies, etc.

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys.
