I have a 2001.5 model and just recently installed the lift pump relocation kit, with the carter P4601HP pump. Back a few years ago I had a fuel pressure gauge, I think it was a westech, not sure. That unit has long since went kaput. I am thinking of installing a Maxtow fuel pressure gauge and I read that they recommend a snubber to be installed with it. Thing is I already had the westech installed and I have the relocation kit installed, and would like to know if someone with more familiarization could tell me what is the best option for a snubber to use. Banjo bolt type or is it a schrader hookup or what that would be best. It looks sort of like a schrader where the old unit is still hooked up?? Thanks for the replies...

I installed the sending unit just downstream of the pump, mounted to the frame, ran wires to the gauge. No engine vibrations.

BigPaPa, was wondering the same thing? I've had my Westechs since shortly after I got my truck in 05/01 and they're still working fine. I've had to replace the Fuel sender & EGT probe once over the years, but the gauges work tip top.

I just had a degradation in my wiring hookup and so forth with the westech, not to blame westech for any of that, it was just my issues that I let it go. I will say this though, I think that MaxTow is making a fine unit and I think the sensor they have is more accurate. But if what you have is working, I probably wouldnt be changing it out.
