Dan, a ST model 4x2 QC SWB 1500 with the MDS 5. 7 Hemi with standard options lists out ~26000. 00 and the 2500 ST 4x2 QC LWB ~29000. its 3 Grand more, yes, but since the 1500 only has a 6' bed its hard to know what the QC LWB would cost with a 8'. I would think that if you are in good standing with your local dealer, they could work out a better price on the truck you need in a 2500 variety since the 1/2 ton doesnt fit the mold to get the price of the 3/4 closer to what the 1/2 ton would be. Plus, with the MDS hemi, fuel mileage shouldnt be that bad compaired to other engine options available in the 1/2 ton line that are not there for the 3/4 tons. The 4. 7 is kinda weak for that heavy of a truck anyway, and the V6 is worthless.
