2500 towing question

We may have need to tow my wife's '93 Mazda 323 manual transmission grocery-getter, and wonder if anyone knows of a reliable pointer where I can deternine if it can be towed all wheels down for any significant distance/speed?

TIA...

Gary,

Is there anything in the car's owners manual about towing? There should be at least something in there that might point you in the right direction. Just a thought.

Somewhere just out of reach in my feeble memory is the thought that I've seen a table with towing information for various passenger vehicles on a motorhome website.

If you search motorhome websites or post a question to a m/h discussion forum I think someone will point you to the info you need.

You could also call the service manager at your nearest Mazda dealeship, he can probably tell you.

The owners manual lists towing instructions that are pretty generic - but indicate towing with wheels down is not recommended - but like I said, that seemed pretty generic, and no refernce to possible differences between manual/auto trannies. The suggestion as to checking with a dealer might work...
