Hi All,

It's been a while since I've been on here but I've always found great information here and I was hoping some of you knowledgeable folks could help me out.

I purchased and am in the process of installing a MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust onto my 1993 W250 (4WD). Everything in the kit looks good and test fits well, EXCEPT for the downpipe. The flange on the new downpipe is much thinner than the original one I took off. The instructions say to use the old v-clamp that connects the turbo to the downpipe, well that clamp was designed for the thicker flange so with the new thinner flange on the MBRP downpipe there is a gap and play between the turbo flange and the downpipe flange no matter how tight you cinch the clamp down.

Has anyone had this problem? Or have a recommendation for a gasket/spacer or different clamp that would make it possible to tightly secure the new downpipe to the turbo?

Thanks,
Mona

OR is there a gasket in the box that goes there. Did exhaust work on a 93 back in 94, so a little foggy on what I did. I put a Banks waste gate on it and Banks exhaust. Seems there was a gasket that went there???

On other applications I've seen a thin copper gasket that you could probably get
If you have access to a wirefeed you could weld up the flange and grind it down the were you want it or add the old flange ,Stans headers I here has the best fitting down pipe no experience of my own

Stan's down pipe has a heavy made machined exhaust flange. The stock clamp worked very well with it. Its good enough you don't need the trans mount exhaust hanger on the down pipe. I installed my Stan's system in 3/07. Is been modified three times over the years due to upgrades done in trans and rear suspension. Replaced muffler about 3 years ago due to rust.
