Tom i heard a dealership in sikeston MO had one on there lot. I was told it was on display at the rodeo there in town. Any way to check on that?

Not sure, I have not heard of any MEGA cabs being out yet

BTW - I have official pricing today:

WOAH!!!!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

They are out!!

I was at the Iowa State Fair yesterday and they had one on the fairgrounds.

They had the passenger's side doors open only, and I jumped up into the back seat. The guy attending the display then looked at the footprint I left on the mat and said he didn't want me to be in the truck :eek:

It listed at 52K!

Thats $56,110 without the exhaust brake price included. Whats the E-brake another $12-1500 installed?

Yep, unless the price for the parts have went down, It is about 1595 installed

Well, I hate to say it, but Dodge priced the Megacabs above my threshold of pain. I was all ready to order one until I started seeing prices. I broke down and bought a Ford CrewCab last week. I looked hard at the current Quadcab too, but there is no comparison in the back seat. With the employee pricing and $2500 cash back, a similarly equipped Megacab would have cost another 4 or 5k and it just wasn't worth it to me. There's no doubt that I like the Dodge better, but the prices are ridiculous.

:eek: :--) :{

Well, that pretty well seals the deal on a medium duty truck (or, God forbid, an F-350 "Tow Boss" :{ :{ ) to pull our 5th wheel. I can only imagine what a 3500 dually MegaCab would cost if it ever comes out!

Congratulations, Dodge - you've priced this one right out of the core of the market! :mad: Who are they selling to - the Hummer H2 crowd?? :rolleyes:

KEVIN - Have you not read the boards about the 6. o over at the dieselstop? Good luck, your gonna need it. I would have made due with the quad cab RAM anyday over a powerpuke crewcab if you did not want to spring for the Mega Cab.

Is the price really that far out? That truck looks like its spec'd with every available option. What would a comparably-equipped Ford or GM cost?

I have been reading the DieselStop posts ever since the 6. 0 came out. I'll admit that I didn't get the Ford with 100% confidence, but the '05 quadcab really didn't give my kid any more leg room than my 2000 quadcab. I've been talking to anyone I could about the reliability of the new Fords and I've not found anyone (other than on the various forums) that's had a problem with the 6. 0 or the Torqshift. That being said, I am dealing with a shimmy issue that is yet to be resolved. I would take a Dodge in a heartbeat, but given the current options, the Ford made the most sense.

My thoughts exactly. I'd like to know the price of a MegaCab 4x4 SLT 6 speed with no other options other Thunder Road / Big Horn / Lone Star, light group and roof lights. I bet it will be around $42k or $43k list.

No, the MSRP's aren't that different (but I believe the megacab is the highest), but when you add in employee pricing and cash back, the difference is substantial.

In my case, a similar megacab would have been 4 or 5k more. YMMV.
