$2. 70/gallon at Kangaroo (truck stop) just northeast of Athens/Loop 10 on US Highway 29.
The whole "price gouging" thing is rediculious! It is called FREE MARKET, yall! If a customer is willing to pay $5 a gallon for fuel, why should the station be punished for it? The law of supply and demand: When supply goes down, and or demand goes up, the price of ANY good or service goes up. When that demand and or supply goes back down, so does the price. Works with just about anything in the retail or service industry. The prices in the fuel market will moderate back out as the refineries get back up to full production and the cost of repairing/rebuilding oil production componets is recaptured.
