Well guys, I thouht I'd just wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, and an even better, Happy New Year.

Like most, this time of year usually results in a bit of reflection and such things... .

For all of you guys who offered to help when things got sticky for me, and in fact did. . let me thank you for your efforts, friendship and concern.

I have been fortunate to end up 'hanging out' with a great bunch of guys, and a gal in here too :)

Each of you has taught me a little something about one thing or another and, you never cease to surprise me. .

Alot of Rammer's figure we're the "old bunch"... we never get riled up or do anything "new"... ... well that's not strickly true. .

I've seen the initial stages of "riled up" recently ;), and we are getting up to some "new" things for our trucks.

We've got Wild Man nascar mark himself running R&D for Piers, the "Pump Meister" Harry, who is working on things for you and me as we speak. Now mark is using his daily driver to do all this testing and living with what breaks. Then he has to spend his work time to fix it. Personally, I think I owe him a big thank you.

Not to mention Bill "Give it to me straight" K. and the crew putting the HP to the ground for us "fluid coupling" guys.

To your credit none of you have let emotion or tempers get in the way and you have always come thru when needed. It's my hope that eventually we'll have our own little Bombers group here in BC one day too... we are getting a few guys all in the same area.

As for "old guys", I've heard it said, that "... . in the end, old age and treachery will win out over youth and vigor... . " :):)

So polish up your glass eye(s) and look for ways to make it go faster, longer...

We've had a couple 'O three new guys drop in. . like Philip, and Formula who have contributed straight from the starting gun and continue to be great additions to the 1st Gen Forum members.

I saw formula's post on boost pressures etc: I asked him to consider doing a bit of R&D'ing and within a day or two, he had a fairly detailed post on drive pressures/results that was a great post.

Others have been asked to copy/re-post something into the "Best tips". . forum and it was done straight away.

Everyone in here is contributing to the information, and support, both practical and "moral" support for those with problems and basically you all deserve the credit for making this an excellent resource.

Don't think it's gone unnoticed, because it hasn't.

There's paccool, hdm48, mazdarotary, a good friend Case500D, farmall, doubleclutch, dan brooks, bgilbert, HoleshotHolset, jaynes, randii, killer59, PPeters, Excessive Force, R. E. Miller, keimmmo, BCaldwell, bmoeller, bighammer, RGT, Alk, KEENO, paychk, Wayno, and so many more it's almost impossible to get them all in... .

Thanks for the participation, information, and support on behalf of the 1st Gen owners. FIRST CLASS GUYS !!

Anyway, on behalf of my snazzy Mrs. BushWakr (who lets me mess with HER truck) and myself, we hope you all have an excellent Christmas holiday, that the diesel fairy (no offense BCaldwell ;) ) is good to you, and that you enjoy this time with your family and friends.

Bob and Family. . :p Oo.

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well Bob.

You have stepped up to fill a void for us first genners by moderating this forum. Your efforts help out each and every member that uses this area. Great leadership brings great things.

And also to all the new additions and dusters from wayyyy back.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!!

Thanks Bob,

It is wonderful to have such a great resource for our old iron. My ole girl is just getting broken in. She may not be as pretty as she used to be but I still have people tell me they like my truck because it looks like a truck :D :D :D

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Merry Christmas to you to BushWakr and have a happy new year. Thanks for all the hard work on the Form. And if Bill K. makes life hard for you because he quits giving it to you straight, just take him to a Good Mexican food restaurant and he will quit giving you a hard time. Oh wait a minute, you cant do that,he told me there wasn't any good Mexican restaurants up there and its to far to drive to Texas !!!!!!!

Bob,

You are right about this being a real good site. I would like to say that you are one of the reasons it is as good as it is. You are always there to make a suggestion or offer up your experience and I, for one, would like to say thanks for that.

As far as the holidays, I hope EVERYONE has a safe and happy holiday season!Oo. :)

paccool and the rest of you guys ease up on the praise for our moderator ;) he's gonna get such a swelled head he won't get through the door of his wife's ram:D back to you bob :--) bill

Well, that just goes to prove to ALL of you guys the inherent truth in that old saying. . "... in the end old age... . etc"... ... .

See, Ole Bill is, well,,,, old and thus, that old axiom is again proven... . I gotta pick on someone younger and easier than him, that's all there is too it. . lets see... ... ;) :):)

bob.

Oh BTW Wayno,

I told Bill he could take me to Texas on his next trip, but he'd have to hide me in his luggage or a transmission case to get me thru the board(s) as I haven't had my shots... ;)

Bush'

Boys be nice, :p

Thanks Bob for your leadership on the site and compiling a resource for our old but sturdy trucks.

I only hope I can still contribute by trying different things to elevate our 1st gens. It has been great working with Piers and everyone at PDR. There commitment to helping truck owners out is second to none.

R&D with Piers is ongoing and we are starting on a interesting project as I have sold my engine to Scott from Vermont and Piers and I will be building a 24v, P7100 engine for my truck. We could built a 12v p-pump engine which is one way to go, but we wanted to do something different by putting a 24v head on. For those that want even more hp/torque in the 1st gens, this is the way to go. I'm excited to see the finished project and go for a spin.

So thats the latest and I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year. :)

Bob, it was a good thing to start this post.

And a very MERRY CHRISTMAS to ALL.

Plus, I am very glad to finally put a face to a name. It was good to meet you Bob.

Hey nascar mark, it can be done some how ( 24 v head on a 12v ) but don't ask me how. I took my ex-bosses truck up to Cummins Southern Plains in Houston back in late 96 to get a new head gasket put on it and they where putting some 24v heads on a few Ozarka drinking water trucks. I was still a little green on hopping up these Cummins and didn't ask to many questions. I did ask the mechanic what they where doing and he told me that they where experimenting with the motors and where putting 24v heads on them . I ask him why and he told me to get more hp and torque. It all look a little funny to me because I had never seen a 24v head before. He told me that they where going to do quite a few of that companies trucks and see how it was going to work out. The next thing I know the 98 1/2 where coming out with 24v. Don't know much about it but I did see one that they had finish and some they where doing.

Christmas greetings from the other side of the world (Turkey)

Damn I miss my Truck:( but will be home soon after New years

BTW I have an extra glass eye so I can now run with scissors:D

Everything is the same other than the head, inj pump, lifters, pushrods and gear case, pistons and the crank has the magnetic pickup internaly. A 12v head will make about the same hp/ftlb's but like I said we want to try something different.

1st gen with a 2nd gen stupid pump and a 24v head sounds good to me. :D Going to be a real sleeper.
