Our new 2001 2500 4 x 4 SB came with 10 ply Michelins.
Last night, I had a catastrophic failure of the left rear, unloaded. The tire suddenly lost air pressure and then proceeded to really come undone. The tread did not separate from the carcass, but the OWL sidewall failed
completely, with total separation from the rest of the tire.
Have any of the rest of you had this problem? This was the worst single incident of tire failure I have ever had.
Thanks for your help.
