I saw Servos truck at the ring and pinion shop yesterday. I wonder if he tore the gear out of it or is just changing the ratio? Nice looking truck. Never expect its a diesel form the way it looks.

spotted on 127 north of Lansing... 1st gen with turn out stacks 4x4 silver with aluminum headache rack heading south around 7 on monday afternoon. If it wasnt a TDR guy he should join! this was one bad rig!!!!!!

That was me. I talked to Frank on the CB. Next time I will turn the box up.

Any suggestions for a decent diesel mechanic in the Jackson area? I want to find someone not at a dealership.

Also, are there any really good diesel mechanics at any of the area dealerships?

Drive the hour to Angola, Indiana and have Dave's Diesel work on it... I drive from Dexter down there and they do everything that I don't. They even were the ones that I had do my warranty work. Give them a call, 800-654-4715 and talk to Rick. If you want to know more give me a shout.

There is a really good mechanic at Village Mtrs in Chelsea that I have been dealing with for the past five yrs. In the dealership and out.

Have had good luck with Pinckney Dodge on M-36 in Pinckney, probably a 45-60 minute drive for you.

Never had warranty work turned down, never hassled, quick service.

Also heard that Saline Dodge in Saline has a good reputation. Havent had any work done there though. They always have the parts I need though.

Hope this helps,

J-

Also TDR Member Rob Thomas has a shop in Waterford, Mi, Michigan Diesel Performance. Good guy, good work and good prices. His shop would be about 2 hours from you though. Waterford is one of those places that " you cant get there from here", no straight shot route. It takes me about 1. 25 hours with traffic from Ypsilanti, but worth it in my opinion.
