Saw a Black 2nd Gen 3500 Sport with 2 BIG (like 5 inch) stacks pulling a travel trailer on Michigan ave (US12) and Capenter Road in Ypsilanti today around 1230pm. Couldnt see the plate to see if it was Mich or TDR stickers due to the snow storm we were getting, didnt want to wreck!

Is this anyone?

Cyborg,

I have had good luck with Pickney Dodge on M-36 in Pickney. I have also heard good things about Saline Dodge on Michigan Ave (US12). I have not had work done there, but they have always had any part I needed at their parts depart.

Hope this helps

PS they are both smaller dealerships, that actually do pretty hi volume Diesel Sales.

I bought my truck at Saline Dodge. NEVER AGAIN!!!! They screwed up my order and the salesman is worthless. Of course his brother owns the place... The service area is great though. Kevin and Joy are great. They have done a lot of work on my Jeeps over the past 5-6 years. The diesel guy is their transmission guy. I've never had the truck in there, so I don't know how he does with those. He is supposed to be great for axles and trannies though.

Now that I'm closer to Lansing/Mason, I need to find a competent dealership to handle anything I need done. Snethkamp on Pennsylvania in South Lansing didn't even have a Cummins on the lot the one day I drove thru there.

The best place that i've seen in my travels to buy a dodge p/u is in adrian. Man that dealership down there was loaded with them.

Lansing doesn't have much of anything in the way of p/u's let alone diesels. I deliver to most all of them.

I'd love to give you a good referral but to be quite frank with ya, i wouldn't take my truck to a dealership for anything.

I talked to one of my Jeep buddies from Howell this weekend. One of our other Jeep friends works at the Brighton Dodge dealership. I need to take it in to check out a power steering fluid leak, a possible coolant leak, an a/c compressor that won't engage, and the driver's door seal that is ripped. Of course the guy I was talking to bought an '06 Duracrap. It's been sitting in the GM dealership for 3 weeks now waiting for a new oil pump that is back-ordered. A nut backed out on his and caused the pump to fail. GM refused to replace the motor with only 8,000 miles on it. So, it's been sitting there with the bottom of the motor torn open, the front axle removed, and no transmission/t-case blocking one of their service bays. Yep. Still glad I bought a Cummins.

saw a 2nd gen white dually single cab on i-94 last tuesday around 2:30. Had stacks and looked like 2 huge TDR stickers in the back window.

Holy Cow this was a great truck!!

Saw an absolutely SWEET 3rd gen today. If this guy is not a member he needs to be.

Red 3rd Gen, Jacked up with huge tires (he could probably look down on my roof!). Single tail pipe that was so big I probably could have stuck my whole head in it! Seriously it was like 6inchs.

I'm also guessing that he was "slightly" over fueled as he was rolling at an easy 35MPH smoking like a freight train! No TDR decals that I saw, but had a couple of deer hunting type stickers in the back window.

If I wasnt going to the Hospital to see my new born daughter(happy birthday Grace) and wife, I'd have flagged him over to talk "shop" and the TDR. If I see him again I will definately blow alittle smoke to get his attention.

Saw him at about 1000am on 3/5/06 in the area of Textile and Whitaker in Ypsilanti Twp. If you have seen this truck before u know the one I am talking about! If he is a member here, Great truck Buddy!!!

Bighammer?

Was that Bighammer I saw on North Long Lake Rd @ Zimmerman last night (3/21) about 5:30 or so? Nice looking rig! I'd be your black twin (less the ranchhands and h2 wheels)

OK, that answer was too short.

It's funny but it seems like I'll go a few days and not see any Cummins badges. Yesterday was one where I saw about 6. Very rarely is it another TDR member though.

It seems like there are a few members who live up here, and a few that visit on a regular basis. I'm thinkin' we need to plan a little get together somewhere up here. I'm game for even a short notice breakfast or lunch to meet locals or guide tourists. (dinner might not be so easy depending on the day :-{} )

I know what you mean - too many hemis on the road! I really should get a TDR sticker or badge - i've been a member long enough! Too bad all the rallies are down south, the last one I went to was in 2000 - Hell/Pinckney/Chelsea. Wow time flies!

Old Mission resident I see - I grew up out there on Bluff Rd, live in the big town of LA now. We'll have to get together sometime.

I might be able to scrounge up a TDR sticker. I think there's one or 2 left. I gave quite a few away at the last Mocomb College BOMBing event.

Glad you like the horns. Did you just do a tank or set up a compessor?

I haven't mounted the brake yet, but I found a belt and have an EKnob switch coming from Genos. Warmer weather is coming and I should have the mess in the garage sorted out. Tough to work in the cold with tools and workspace totally disorganized.
