I run AEV's 17" wheels on my truck with the MT Baja Boss 37" x 12.5" x 17" tires. I put them on the truck at 106k miles in October of 21. They've been amazing in snow, soft dirt, hard as hell Nevada roads with unforgiving hundred mile dirt road trips and they're quiet on the pavement. All that said I came back after parking my ride for two weeks to a flat tire. After removing the tire I noticed the interior sidewall had a three inch crack that was leaking air. Upon further inspection I see multiple sidewall cracks starting down the other remaining tires from the side biter lugs on the tires. These are not leaking yet but are a source of concern.

Realistically I've done this to myself by installing a D load rated tire where an E is called for. However, only one company makes an E rated 37" x 12.5" x 17" tire. Who else out there is running 37"s and what tire have you used? How has it gone for you and how long have your tires been on?

I have 37 Nitto Ridge Grapplers that came on my truck new. Dealer added them. They've been fine so far, but I only have 16 k on them. Fwiw, I have the 20" wheels, not the 17's.

what is the load index on the tire ( instead of thinking about the archaic D or E rating ) and are you actually loading the tire to the point it would be the cause of your complaint and compare it to the load index of the stock sized E rated tires before you condemn the tire as being under capacity...

an oversized tire in a D rating may have a higher load index than the stock sized tire. previous truck had 245's onit LRE and replaced with 285 LRD's and the 285 D would carry more weight than the 245E.. just saying

My main issue is finding a tire shop to install them. Discount and 4 wheel parts won't install as they say they're not a match for the door sticker. I guess the firestone debacle put everyone on edge.

All you need to do is find a buddy who has a truck or trailer, and take them off and just bring the over there. Since they have no clue what they are going on, they have no liability. If they do ask, just tell them it's for offroad use only on a custom vehicle. It's nonna their business.

Lets see some pictures

One of my trucks has the MT BAJA LEGEND EXP, on it when I got the truck. Pretty good tires. Never had MT tires before. No "cracks" at all , good fresh side wall rubber... about time for new tires, they didnt come close to 50k miles treadwear warranty though
