Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Good to hear from you guys. We were just talking about the TS show this morning. I moved on to a 2011 6. 7. It sure is a long way from my old turned up 99.

We went to the drags Saturday, stayed until noon when the skies opened up. I was really surprised at the number of vendors this year, it had really gone up.

Well, I don't know if anyone is still reading out there, but I felt compelled to post here because I just received an email notification that someone had revived a thread that I started almost 10 years ago! Some good memories of hanging out with the old gang. Can't believe it's been so long ago now. The wife gave birth to our first child, daughter Ava, on May 15, 2014, so I'm sure time will really begin to fly now.

The old white dually is still chugging along, although he's gotten a little temperamental over the past year. Probably nothing I can't get worked out if I can find the time to fool with it. With the prices of new trucks now, I'll probably keep this one until the wheels fall off and then find some others to put back on! Only 160k miles on the clock, but at almost 15 years old, it's showing a little age. It did get me to Miami and back this past September to pick up a Corvette for a family member. I was a proud papa.

I hope all is well with everyone in Mid-Tenn. My free membership from my last Geno's order will probably expire in a few months. Doesn't look like there is enough activity on the site overall to renew, but I hope to stay in touch with some of you. Does anyone know if Wade still has the same cell number from years ago?

What's up, Hans? Congrats on the little one. Nothing like it. It'll change your life. My boy is now almost 15 and my baby girl is 12. Time sure flies.

I still lurk around here some. I haven't heard from Wade in a couple of years. Anthony still has his truck and is doing well. I start a new job in a couple of weeks working with him st the Metro Nashville school bus garage. Joe's still in Dickson and his shop is still growing and doing well. His pulling truck is down until March waiting on a turbo. I saw Gap about 6 months ago at Joe's. Haven't seen or heard from Randy in a while.

Hey, Scott! I'm just sitting here taking a trip down memory lane. Read through some of my old PMs and just noticed a thread from today where Vaughn Makenzie and Bob Wagner are talking about the Scotty II air intake and the turbo air guide! What a blast from the past. It's good to see that some of the original members are still around. Funny to think that I started posting on this forum from my dorm room in Memphis and now am sitting in my own house with my feet propped up in front of the wood stove. Married with a kid! Haha! Whew...things were much simpler when all I had to think about was finding enough money to get my next "BOMB" for the truck! I still have your number, btw. Maybe we could grab lunch the next time I have business in Nashville. Good to hear from you!

P.S. Ol' Gap...I still remember the Piston Slapper! What a card...I was only around him a few times at a truck pull and when we all met at Joe's shop when it was first opening, but he's hard to forget!

I'm still around too. I don't lurk around on the TDR much anymore. Since I bought the 2011 truck, I can't do any mods to it. At least until I hit 100K miles. That will happen late this year. I do miss the days of high boost, black smoke, and the sound of a straight piped Cummins. Going to start on a new project this year. Taking a 64 Plymouth Savoy wagon and making a late model drivetrain road car. My neighbor bought an abandoned project to finish. It's an 85 crew cab with a 12 valve.

The Savoy sounds cool. My favorite car I ever owned was a '64 Fairlane wagon. Styled like the Galaxy's but smaller. Wish I still had it. This is not the one I had, just an example off the interweb.

I'm still around. Yea, ten years ago I had a fourth grader and kindergartner. Now I have two freshman. One in Belmont and one in high school. Don't bink and enjoy the moments with the little one. I'm up for a meeting if anyone is interested.

Wow, names appearing from the 'ole Mid TN group, maybe call it a Mid TN Reunion Rolling the cough, cough Coal. You guys were an active group.

Hey Gary,

How are things on the other side of the mountain? I see the ol '97 is still around or at least in your signature. Hope all is doing well.

Anthony,

Doing well. Grandpa 2X since those days, hand me my walker, not yet. The '97 is likely going on the market real soon. Runs great, shows some age on the body. Jacob is looking for a smaller car, needs better mileage. One thing that I'm real pleased about and sorta lucky, we never went back on the KDP job we did, its held the test of mileage.

Got a VW Beetle TDI and just did the timing belt, that's a piece of work but picked up over 3 MPG just by getting the cam and crank re-sync'd and injection pump timing in the happy zone. Runs strong for a 1.9L stock TDI. 47 MPG so far is my best.

The 2005 got a real nice ARE cap last year and is doing a fantastic job towing the Airstream on our SC and NC outings.
