Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Andy--come on now, you know you love it. Oil dripping/smoke belching/noise making--bout like a Harley. :D

So I'll go lookit the thread.

Maybe try a new temp sensor/sending unit. And remember that when they're proper the needle will climb and drop over and over and over again.

on the OFE/FE, We'll have Peter reline it OFE when the FE wears out... what in 2008 or 09 maybe. ;)

Mark, I know it'll make more power. But, you can't turn em up to much if you got a kicker on them. YOu'll blow it up.

I ran a Uniden Grant XL doing 50 watt's with a two pill & and two driving eight pill (1400 watts). If you get a guy who knows how to match stuff up you won't blow it. ;)

Speaking of kickers, make sure your deadkey(holding mic button without talking) is around 1-watt. If its 2 or more you will burn up that little Galaxy of yours. We ran some 1/0 wire this weekend for when I get a BIG box, but I'm borrowing a Shooting Star 225 for the time being. Hooked it up and BLAH! nothing... . then my buddy remembers (he just got it back from a friend)... "I told him to turn that 3 watt deadkey down or he'd blow it"..... guess what happened. :rolleyes: :{ :-{}

I predict Mark will chime in with his OFE recommendation too.

You know me too well! :-laf

Steve CALL PETER! other than that I will say I've had a 13" FE and I would rather have a Dual Disk before I had another.

They are chattery on take off all the time, they are bucky with trailers. My dual disk engages better than my FE did. Guy also blew the springs out of mine after about a month of buying the old white wonder. :rolleyes:

He also blew the turbo, shattered the transfer case... ... :rolleyes:

i had an fe in my 01. i liked the fe. it was a bit grabby. but with 4. 1 gears very driveable. 2nd gear unloaded. 1st gear loaded. but if i was planning on staying under 500hp id put in an ofe and let it go. nick

January Meeting...

I just checked the schedule and I do have drill the 21st and 22nd, so I can't make that day, the 28th would be the only day I could get out there, plus if it's on a Sat. , Shannon might be able to come this time so you all can meet her. We gonna have some cookin' or what?

Thanks for all the input you guys gave!!! I'm gonna have to wait until after X-Mas before I get a Juice with attitude, I've already priced one through Joe, I like it cause it will help me out without having to get the gauges and I don't wanna lose my A-frame pillar handle. I'll start checking out the stuff for air intakes. Thanks again!!!!!

I haven't messed with it much. Told them I wanted low dead key with maximum swing. My brother and ol man are cb aholics. Brother is running a 750 messenger swing 1500 watts and ol man is gotta out do him so He can step on him. Last I heard he was about 3500watts on his mobile, running duel whips. NO at the house. Jabbo is running 7500watts and the ol man has some big tube joby, home grown by a local cb'r, pushing 30,000. He's been visited twice by the black ties and they just said, nice system. Neighbors complained, you taking out there phone. Save the big power till late night :) He can talk anywhere in north america at will. I can here him here, no problem. Just can't talk back :D Brother can get through sometimes.

I've been interested in getting into the ham radio thing. Just like to have the further reach. CB can be too crowded too. I just mainly use it for traffic control, radar, and a yak box when driving. Great for the diesel outings.

Been working alot lately. Ain't had time to be on... I'll catch up with ya'll.

Well they used to be the big thing around here between me and all my buddies, and especially "Fox Hunt" or "CB tag" whichever you call it.

We all used to have CB's in our trucks in high school. Then the whole gang I ran around with for 3-4 years had them, and we usually fox hunted everyweekend. Then "CB wars" started in gallatin between some individuals and if you didn't have at least 1000-1400 watts you weren't talking to anybody because they couldn't hear you. So I sold my boxes two years ago, and my BIG boy CB just last Summer. About 1. 5 month ago I stopped by the CB shop one night to say hi to some friends I hadn't seen in a while. I still had a smaller Cobra 25 I kept for interstate driving and such. Come to find out the "CB wars" were over and you could actually talk on the radio again..... Boy it went downhill from there! :-laf Especailly my wallet! :{

I'm done spending for the moment, as I want to get my Chevy back on the road (rear disk brake conversion) and Christmas is fast approaching.

Its just like CTD's once the BOMBing bug bites its hard to get away! :-laf

Hey Shay! Me and the better half are planning on attending the 'Boro pull. Would love to have a shauffer! #ad

BTDT. I had all the high-power stuff in my Ford years ago. It was fun---but it always winds up being a "big" radio power fight. Radio fights--sooo much fun. Then some of the CB'ers said "we're going to take the ham radio test". I didn't know anything about ham radio, but said I'd go. I didn't study, but went anyway. I passed one part and failed the other part. Next time I went I got a license. Since then I've upgraded the license.

So as I've said before, CB led me to ham. And that's real cool. 1500 watts is LEGAL power on most ham bands. But 100 is more than enough. Some folks see how far they can talk on minimum power. They frown on using as much as 5 watts. The most commonly used setup is a 50 watt 2m FM radio. Ready to go out of the box. I'll have to get some current license guides and stuff for those interested to look at.

I had to call 'ol Meac-ham today for a phone #, and asked if he got his little magical transmission box in yet. Sure enough he did. So now not only does The BEAST run but... its finally driveable!

Man I hope I get a Lebanon delivery on Friday! Oo. Oo. Oo.

I also reminded him that I would impose great phsyical harm upon him if I was not notified of the location of its first drag race! :-laf :-laf :-laf

Hey guys - does anyone have a need for a nice 35psi boost gauge? It's a Di/Pricol, black face, chrome bezel. It's just gonna take up space, so I thought I would try to make a few bucks off it. I don't imagine anyone here needs one, but I thought I'd ask you guys first.

I'll probably put it on the classifieds for $20 or $25. It has new bulbs and lead wires but I don't have a tubing kit to go with it. That's another $10-$12.

Torqus Platus-- I have a TST #4 and #11 --looking to trade each for #10 TST, no re-grinds.

Also have 16cm housing for HX-35, never used, make offer.

Classified probably won't come up until next week.

Surprised you haven't just gotten a stocker from Meacham and ground it to a #10 like Ken & I did? I would put those TST plates in the TDR classifieds and get some $$$ out of them.

Don't have a 10 to copy--and I'm not copying a copy of a copy...

Could someone post pics of the 12v throttle linkage assy. the whole thing please.

Sorry guys... I've changed this post about 10 times. I'm kind of in a panicked frenzy over this freeze plug thing...
